Chapter 60

Katniss suddenly began to scream, waking everybody up. 

"Run, Run, the fog is Poisonous," Katniss screamed. 

"Come on, Come on, Come on," Finnick said as he pulled Lea up on her feet. 

 Lea grabbed Finnick's hand and together they ran as fast as they could to try to get away from the fog. Peeta and Katniss were a little behind them but not by much. They were in charge of protecting Katniss and Peeta but in a situation like this, they had to think about themselves first and bring themselves to safety before caring about the pair from twelve. They wanted to do everything that they could to protect them but they weren't going to endanger themselves. If it really came to it, they would choose each other over saving Katniss and Peeta. 

Peeta was struggling to run and Katniss was slowing down to stay with him but they were getting further and further behind. Then Finnick loosened his grip on Lea's hand and moved closer to Katniss and Peeta to help them. 

"Finnick, what the hell are you doing?" Lea screamed as she kept on running. 

"Go, on, I will catch up with you," Finnick screamed while running towards Katniss and Peeta. 

"Finnick, please, come back here," Lea screamed as she looked back at Finnick. But because she looked back, she didn't see the big stone right in front of her and she tripped over him, falling over it, making her flip her ankle. 

The fog moved closer and closer and she wasn't able to get up in time, so the fog touched her back, making her scream in pain. Finnick saw her and immediately ran over to her and picked her up, the fog touching his back in the process, making him also scream out in pain. 

"Come on, we have to keep running," Finnick yelled as he took Lea's arm

"I can't, It hurts," Lea cried out. 

"Come on, baby, you have to," Finnick said as he put his arm around her to support her. 

Lea bit through the pain from her twisted ankle and kept on running. She could think about treating her ankle once they got past the fog. 

Lea and Finnick were running really fast with Katniss and Peeta a few metres next to them. The fog was getting really close and it was coming from every side, so it was getting really hard to avoid it. 

Katniss tripped over something and Peeta immediately ran back to help her up but then the fog coated both their backs and a part of Peeta's face and hands, making them scream out in pain. They tried to continue running, but a few meters later, Peeta fell to the ground and was shivering like crazy, not being able to move. "Peeta," Katniss cried out. 

Finnick and Lea ran towards them. "I can't carry him," Katniss sobbed as Finnick looked at Lea. 

"Help him, I will be fine on my own but we have to run, please," Lea said. 

Finnick then grabbed Peeta, putting his arm around his neck to support him, and with his other arm, he tried to support Lea cause she could barely walk with her sprained ankle. 

The four of them were moving together but they couldn't move very fast, making the fog coat their backs once again. 

"AHHHHH," They all cried out in pain as they all stumbled forward and the ground fell out from underneath them. 

They all tumbled down the hill and just lay there panting heavily. 

The fog was coming closer and closer but the four of them just lay there, not moving one bit. They had all given up. But then as the fog almost hit them, it went up, disappearing.
