Chapter 86

District 13

"Wait, I have an idea where she might be," Johanna's voice sounded through the walkie. 

The hearing of Johanna's voice made Finnick turn around. 

"Where?" Boggs asked. 

"We haven't seen her since her interview with Caeser a few days ago but I heard what she said so they probably took her to the second level, where the torture rooms are," Johanna said. 

"The what rooms?" Finnick said as he raised his voice. 

"Not important right now, the important thing is that we get her out," Haymitch said. 

"Boggs, an update?" Beetee asked. 

Nothing came for a few minutes. Finnick started to get worried and began pacing around the room. 

"Why isn't he responding?" Finnick Panicked. 

"I think we lost connection with them again," Beetee sighed. 

"I guess we will just have to wait and hope we get the signal back once they are back into the hovercraft," President Coin said. 

"How do we know whether Lea will be with them?" Katniss asked. 

"There is no way to know unless they report back," Beetee said. 

"You are going to see, they are going to come back and she is not going to be with them," Finnick panicked. 

"Finnick, it's no use to jump to rash conclusions,"  Cashmere said, trying to calm him down. 

"I know, I'm just scared," Finnick cried out. 

"I know, but we have to keep faith," Cashmere said

Lea was lying on the floor of her cell, in a fetal position. Shaking, as she was rocking up and down. 

The torture had lasted for about an hour, at least that was what it felt like, after the first strikes, she had lost count. But that was not all, occasionally, they would throw a bucket of ice cold water over her, to keep her conscious. Her arms, legs, stomach, and neck were full of bruises and she could barely move. 

And all of that, while Snow was watching. It was like he was enjoying seeing her in pain, he was a true sadist. Besides being a sadist, he was also a true narcissist. 

Suddenly, the door of her cell flew open, and a tall figure, dressed fully in black and a bulletproof vest walked it. Lea looked up and saw the figure walking towards her. 

"No, please, I can't take any more," Lea weakly said. 

"Lea, it's me, it's Kai, your brother," Kai said as he knelt down next to her. 

"Kai?" Lea whispered. 

"Oh God, what have they done to you," Kai sighed as he saw all the bruises on her body "Come on, we have to get you out of here," 

"Kai, I, uh," Lea tried saying before her eyes closed. 

"Lea, Lea, you have to stay awake," Kai said as he picked her up from the floor. 

"Lea, please stay awake, I need you, Finnick needs you, Mom and Dad need you, we all do," Kai said as he ran out of the room with Lea in his arms. 

"Finnick?" Lea weakly said as her eyes opened again. 

"Yes, Finnick is waiting in District 13," Kai said. 

"District 13?" Lea asked, her eyes half open.
