"Lea," Finnick called her name while walking behind her, hoping that she would stop walking but she didn't.

"Lea, would you stop for a second, we need to talk about this" Finnick said as they got inside their house. Then, Lea turned around. "Finnick, There is nothing to talk about. Please leave me alone for a moment," Lea snapped.

"Lea, you have to promise me that you are not going to volunteer," Finnick pleaded

"Finnick, you know I can't do that," Lea signed

"Lea, Please I can't lose you, I can't," Finnick cried, his voice thick with emotion.

"I can't let either Mags or Annie go into those games, I can't do that to them. They deserve to be happy," Lea cried out.

"And you don't deserve happiness? I don't deserve happiness? Because without you, I can't be happy," Finnick snapped.

"Finn, don't make this harder for me than it already is, if I have to go in, I will do everything I can to get back to you," Lea sniffed.

"And what if my name gets picked?" Finnick snapped again.

"We cannot think in what ifs, Finn. The chances of you getting picked are so small," Lea reassured him.

"Your chances are small as well as long as you don't volunteer," Finnick pleaded "Please, Lea. if we are both in there, we have no chance of a happy ending. Please, don't take away our one chance for happiness," Finnick asked her

"Finnick, I can't promise you anything. I have to think about all of this, please give me some time," Lea said while walking upstairs.

The only thing that Finnick could do now, is hoping, hoping that he doesn't get picked to go back into the games and that Lea won't volunteer 'cause he would rather die than lose her. A life without her was worse than no life at all.

4 months, they had 4 months to train before the reaping. 4 months to get in absolute top shape to have a chance of winning. The training school was closed down for the rest of District 4 to give the victors the ultimate right to get ready. Lea and Finnick both trained almost every day and so did Tyler, Livia, and Alexander so they didn't have to put in extra effort, just continued training like they were doing all along. Annie, Nick, and Mags however didn't, they needed to put in some serious effort to get in tip-top shape.

Lea laid awake the whole night last night, thinking about what she would do and she still didn't know. Finnick had given her space and slept on the couch last night and she had never slept this bad.

All the victors were training together in the training school. Lea was at the knife station, practicing her knife-throwing skills but she was very tired and was missing some of the targets and she usually never misses any target. Finnick was doing strength training. Livia was running labs and Tyler was helping Annie with some self-defense. Mags couldn't train because she already had a stroke a few months ago and it was better to not risk her health.

"Annie, come on. You have to focus. I know this is hard for you, but you need to be able to at least defend yourself," Tyler signed.

"I know, I'm sorry. I am trying," Annie said.

"We still have 4 months, but we do really need to train every day," Tyler said

"Alright, we will. Thanks for helping me," Annie said.

Meanwhile, Finnick noticed that Lea was struggling and he walked over to her.

"Hey," Finnick said and Lea immediately noticed him, stopped what she was doing, and walked over to him.
