The next day it was the tribute parade and Lea was with Finnick and Alexander at the sponsors banket to secure sponsors for their tributes. For the first time in years, she saw Haymitch hard at work trying to secure sponsors. Suddenly Haymitch came up to her.

"It's been a long time since I have seen you here, you used to be up there, with all the Capitol elite," Haymitch said as he pointed to the balcony, where Seneca and his friends were sitting.

"I like it better down here," Lea laughed. "But hey, what is up with your girl? The volunteer? I think you might have a good chance of winning this year," Lea said quietly.

"To be honest, I don't know how it going to go. She is very angry, it's going to be very hard to get people to like her. The boy is very charming but he doesn't have the skills to win. How about your kids?" Haymitch said

"I don't think any of mine, makes a chance this year," Lea admitted

"Ah that's too bad," Haymitch said

"It's fine, you deserve it more," Lea said

"Thanks, sweetheart, that means a lot," Haymitch said as Johanna joined them.

"Finally, I have been looking all over for you," Johanna said

"It's great to see you to Jo," Lea said as she hugged Johanna.

"Urg, I need a drink, do you have anything Haymitch?" Johanna asked knowing that Haymitch always had a flask or three with him.

"I'm sorry sweetheart, not this time," Haymitch said

"Wait what, Haymitch is not drinking, what is happening to the world?" Johanna asked

"Well, he thinks one of his kids has a chance this year, so he stays sober," Lea laughed.

"Ah, yes the volunteer, I think she has a good chance," Johanna said

"Oh look, the parade is starting," Haymitch said as the three got closer to watch the parade.

"Oh no, would you look at that, mine are dressed as fish. Ever since Tigris is no longer the stylist for four, their clothing has been awful, they think that because we are from the fourth district, they need to stress them like fish," Lea sighed

"Same with mine, they are dressed as trees," Johanna laughed. "What are yours going to be dressed as? Coleminers?" Johanna asked Haymitch and a smile appeared on his face.

"Not this year, we have a new stylist, Cinna, and he has pretty revolutionary ideas," Haymitch said as the carriage of twelve appeared. Suddenly, the two tributes from twelve were on fire making the whole crowd stand up

"Oh wow, look at that, that is amazing," Lea said

"I hope that this will help to make her more likable 'cause she will need it," Haymitch said

Lea looked at her side and saw Finnick standing next to her. "Come on we need to go downstairs, pick up our tributes," He said and Lea followed him downstairs.

"Great job you guys, you got a lot of attention from the crowd," Finnick said.

"Not as much as twelve," The boy said

"Yeah, everybody was looking at them, they even got a standing ovation," The girl said.

Lea didn't know what she could say to them 'cause they were right and Haymitch was so happy that he finally had a chance of winning and instead of being a good friend and supporting him, she was going to try and make her lose. She felt really bad but she had no choice if she wanted to save her grandmother.
