About Five Months later
"Good morning Baby. You want some coffee?" Finnick asked as Lea was walking down the stairs.
"Waaw, I'm really surprised that you are already up, you are never up before me," Lea said as she walked towards the kitchen.
"I think, I just wanted to show my beautiful girlfriend, how much I loved her," Finnick said as he looked towards the kitchen table. On the table, there were pancakes, eggs, bacon, and different kinds of fruits.
"Oh Baby, that is so sweet of you, I love you," Lea said as she stood on her tiptoes to kiss him. Finnick kissed her back and put her on the kitchen counter, the kiss quickly turned into a more passionate make-out session and Lea's hands went towards Finnick's shirt. But then Finnick pulled away.
"Ugh, I really want to continue this but I don't want the pancakes to get cold," Finnick growled
"We can continue this after breakfast," Lea said as she got up from the counter.
"We so will," Finnick said as both of them sat down at the kitchen table.
"Omg, Fin, did you really make this, this is amazing," Lea said as she put a piece of pancake in her mouth.
"Yes, I did, what can I say, I had the best teacher," Finnick proudly said
"Oh that's very sweet, thanks for all of this, I love you," Lea said
"I love you too Baby," Finnick said
"Oh, by the way, I wanted to ask you, is Annie going to mentor this year instead of you? Since she is the most recent female victor?" Finnick asked
"No, I am coming with you, Annie asked me to go instead of her because she is finally feeling better and she is afraid that being back there is going to bring everything back," Lea says
"Oh, didn't know that, I'm very happy that you are coming with me, I couldn't bear to be away from you for two whole weeks," Finnick says
"Yeah, I know me neither. I am also glad that Annie is finally doing better," Lea says
"Yeah me too, I assume that Tyler is also staying here then?" Finnick asks
"Yeah, he is going to stay with Annie, he doesn't want be be away from her for so long now that everything is going so well between them and he also doesn't have to go, they only require the two most recent victors to go," Lea said
"Who knows, we will have another male victor soon and then we both can stay at home," Finnick said
"God, I hope so, I don't want to be in the Capitol more than I already have to," Lea said
"God, I almost can't believe that next week, the games are starting again. This year has gone by so quickly" Lea sighed
"At least this year, nobody that we care about can get reaped," Finnick said
"Yeah that's true, but that doesn't make it any better Finn, There are again going to be two kids, possibly again 13 years old who are afraid to die, then we as mentors give them all kinds of false hope that they have a chance of making it out there when deep down we can't. I don't whether I can handle seeing something like what happened to Tyson last year," Lea said
"I know baby, I know, I wish there was something we could do about it," Finnick sighed
"What can we do? As long as President Snow is alive, things will not change. It's not like we can start a revolution against the Capitol, we are in this situation because of what happened in the last revolution," Lea said
