Meanwhile in the Capitol: President Snows POV

Coriolanus was sitting at his desk, a few weeks ago the most unexpected thing happened. The thing that he hoped, would never occur. He had been safe for the past 59 years and suddenly, he learnt that she had in fact had survived and not only did she survive, she was also pregnant with his baby, so now he had a daughter or a son over in the districts and one granddaughter, maybe there were even more grandchildren that he didn't know of, that would come back one day to try and destroy his reputation.

He kind of suspected that something was wrong when he first saw her during the tribute parade, she looked so much like Lucy Grey but he thought it was just a coincidence but then the song that she sang during the interview with Caeser was the exact same song as Lucy Gray sung during her reaping all of those years ago. He hoped that It was all just in his head and that she wasn't linked to Lucy Gray in some way but apparently, she was, she was his granddaughter, and had to make sure that no one ever knew, that no one ever knew how he rose to power, how he killed Sejanus Plinth to get access to the plinths fortune. If all of that came to light, nobody would trust him anymore and he would have to step down as president.

For Now, he had the situation under control. As long as he gave his Granddaughter what she wanted, she would not expose his past but he kept on wondering whether Lucy Gray was still alive, Lea told him that she had passed away a few years ago but something inside of him wondered whether that was true at all. Maybe Lea was just scared to tell him that she is still alive, 'cause she was afraid that he would go after her, but would he? If he found out that she was still alive, would he track her down? And then what, when he found her? Would he confront her, expose her? Kill her? All of these things were probably not the best idea. He had done everything he could to erase the memory of Lucy Gray, would he want to risk all of that, just so he could get his closure? It probably was best that he never found out whether she was alive but the thought alone had consumed his mind for the past weeks, day and night, he couldn't stop thinking about it. He simply had to know and maybe he could even use the fact to his advantage one day. In that way he had leverage against his Granddaughter, cause he was certainly not going to let her ruin his whole reputation, the one for which he worked so hard to get.

He pressed the button of his intercom and screamed, "Plutarch Heavensbee, get in her right this second. I have very important matters to discuss with you,"

Plutarch had been his right-hand man for the past year, helping him with the smallest things and he was one of the only men that he completely trusted. The Heavensbees were a very influential family in the Capitol, so he knew that he could trust Plutarch.

A few minutes later, Plutarch walked through the door into his office.

"You wanted to see me, Mr. President?" Plutarch asked.

"Yes, Heavensbee, please sit down," President Snow said as Plutarch took a seat across from him.

"I have an important task for you and you are one of the only ones that I completely trust with this matter," Snow said while folding his hands together.

"Some years ago, when I was still a student at the academy, the 24 best students had to mentor the tributes of the 10th Hunger Games, and the person who was the best mentor in the Hunger Games, was going to receive the Plinth price and I really needed that price 'cause since my father died during the revolution when I was little, my family was struggling a lot and that plinth price could save us but my teacher didn't like me very much at the time and he gave me the girl from the twelfth district, Lucy Gray to mentor because he knew that with someone like that, I wouldn't stand a chance of winning,"

"I tried my very best to present her to the Capitol and to get people to like her but she stayed a weak, underfed girl from the poorest district and in that arena, I knew she wouldn't stand a chance against anyone. Everything changed the day before the games, we had to go into the arena together with our tributes and while we were in there, the arena was bombed, parts of the roof came down and I was stuck under some pillar and couldn't move, I really thought that I was going to die but instead of running when she had the chance, Lucy Gray saved me and from that moment I knew that I had to repay her and make sure that she won the Games so I cheated, I gave her a compact with rat poison to use and at the end of the games, they put a tank full of snakes into the games and right before the tank went into the games, I put a handkerchief with her cent in the tank, so that they wouldn't attack her. But the dean found out and he punished me, he sent me over to the districts to be a peacekeeper. I gave my last money to be sent to twelve so that I could see her again. Once, In twelve, I saw her again, we spent some time together and I fell in love with her but unfortunately, it didn't end that well, let's just say that some unfortunate circumstances occurred that caused our separation,"
