"Grandmaaaa," Lea shouted as she ran into Lucy Grey's arms.

"Oh honey, I have missed you so much!" Lucy Gray said.

Many years have passed. Lucy Gray is currently 62 years old. She made a very good life for herself in District Four, raising her Daughter Pam and seeing her fall in love with her husband Tom, raising their two children Kai, the Oldest who is now 12 years old and Lea who is now 5 years old.
Frank and Carlos, who sadly both passed away became her new family. She became good friends with the victor of the 11th Hunger Games Mags Flannegan and together they set up a training school to prepare the children in District Four for the Hunger Games, because of them District Four is now known as a career district.

Over the years, Lucy Gray had to see her ex-boyfriend become the tiran he is today, continuing the Hunger Games and doing horrible things to all the victors afterwards. She despises him and hopes that one day, Panem will be free from him and that the Hunger Games will be over.

This year the 56th Hunger Games took place, it's the first year that her Grandson Kai was eligible for the reaping and that scared her a lot. She hoped that nobody in her family would ever have to go through the Hunger Games.

*****************************************
The 56th Hunger Games were over. Her grandson didn't get reaped this year. Only 5 more years left that she had to worry about her grandson getting reaped.

Lucy Grey was sitting in her garden together with her granddaughter.

"Ah grandma look a snake," Lea said while panicking.

"Oh honey, you don't have to be afraid of snakes, if you are nice to the snake. They will want to be your friend. Snakes even saved my life once." "You just have to learn about the different types of snakes, which ones are threatening and which ones are not and how to treat them all". Lucy Gray said.

"Can you teach me how to treat the different snakes?" Lea said

"Of course honey, the snake you are holding now is a red snake, they are not threatening and don't want to hurt you."

Lea listened to her grandma talk about all the different types of snakes for the rest of the afternoon. Little did she know that that advice would save her life once.

Later that evening, Lea was sitting in the kitchen as her mom was cooking. Her grandma was sitting next to her, whispering a song.

"Grandma, what are you singing," Lea said. "Back when I was a young girl, I was part of the covey and together we sang all kinds of songs for all the people of the District. Do you want to learn the song," Lucy Grey said.

"No, I want to learn all of the songs," Lea said enthusiastically

"Well, okay sweetheart. I will teach you. The first one goes like this."

"Can't take my charm, Can't take my humour, Can't take my wealth, 'cause it's just a rumour. Nothing you can take was ever worth keeping, no nothing you can take was ever worth keeping. Thinking you're so fine, thinking you can have mine, thinking you're in control, thinking you'll change me, maybe rearrange me, think again if that is your goal.

Cause you can't take my sass, You can't take my talking and you can kiss my ass and then keep on walking. Nothing you can take from me was ever worth keeping.

No sir, nothing you can take from me is worth the dirt. Take it, 'cause I'd give it free. it won't hurt. Nothing you can take from me was ever worth keeping." Lucy Gray sings.

"Waaw grandma, you have such a beautiful voice, can I try?" Lea said.

"Of course sweetheart." Lucy Gray said. Lea tries singing the song and gets it right from the first try. Being a performer was in her blood. "Sweetheart, you have such a beautiful voice." Lucy Gray said.

"Thank Grandma, One day I will sing it on Television, I promise," Lea said. "Want to learn the other songs," Lucy Gray said. "YESSS," Lea said.

The rest of the night, Lucy Gray teaches all of her favourite songs to her granddaughter

***************one year later*************

"Lea honey, do you want to come with grandma to the store of my friend Lory to buy some fish for tonight, maybe her grandson is there." Lucy Gray said.

Lea immediately started blushing. "I always see him at school, but I am too scared to talk to him". Lea said

"Don't be scared, im sure you two are going to be good friends, and besides in 4 years you are going to be in the academy together." Lucy Gray said while taking her granddaughter's hand to walk to the store.

"Look who we have here, Lucy Gray. It has been so long and look who is with you the beautiful little Lea." Lory said.

"Yes it has been way too long, we need to have some tea soon." Lucy Gray said.

While the old ladies were having a conversation. Lea caught a glance of a staring Finnick. One stare of the young boy and Lea immediately starts blushing.

"Oh Finnick come here, Lea have you met my grandson Finnick Odair yet?" Lory said

Finnick appears from behind the counter: "I am Finnick, Finnick Odair". The six-year-old said.

"I am Lea, it's nice to meet you Finnick," Lea said.

*****************************************
Years go by, and Finnick and Lea are now both in the training school and have become the best of friends.
They spent almost all of their time together. Both of them have a crush on each other but are too scared to tell the other person.
Lea had also become very good friends with a girl who lived next to her, Annie Cresta and Emma Hughes.

After 4 years in the training school, they both were 14 years old and today was the annual reaping for the 65th Hunger Games.

"I am so scared Finnick, I don't want to die yet." Lea cried

"Sssht don't worry Lea, our names are only in there three times, we won't get picked," Finnick said while pulling Lea into a hug.

"And even if I do get reaped, I will have no problem getting sponsors, just look at me," Finnick said smirking.

"You are too confident," Lea said giggling

"Please all men and women go to your respected places for the annual reaping for the 65th Hunger Games".

"I see you after okay, Let's meet at our secret place at the beach," Finnick said.

The Mayer of District 4 came onto the stage and gave his welcoming speech while honouring the past District 4 victors, Mags Flannegan, Nick Evans, Tyler Johnson and Livia Silvergate. The last time that District 4 had a winner was 6 years ago with Tyler. He won his game when he was 15 years old. Livia won three years before Tyler when she was 15 and Nick was already in his forties and had won the 46th game. Mags was the first known Victor of District 4, she won the 11th games, after her Grandma Lucy Gray but nobody remembered her, she was simply erased from existence.
After his speech, the Mayor welcomed Ella Trinket, the District 4 escort, to the stage. Lea had never seen her before, she must be a new host.

Eccentrically dressed and overly happy, Ella came onto the stage and smiled at the crowd.
"Welcome, welcome, Happy Hunger Games everybody, Today we celebrate the start of the 65th Hunger Games and most importantly of all, May the odds be ever in your favour!" She said while smiling. "This is my first year as District 4's host and I am truly honoured to be here with all you you, today. As always, Ladies first!" She enthusiastically screamed. She then walked over to the bowl on the left side of the stage, and took out a piece of paper, before unfolding it. "The female tribute from District 4, Elena Morningstar,"

Lea let out a sigh, she was very happy that she wasn't picked. She felt very bad for Elena tough, she was a very nice girl and nobody deserved it to be reaped. The seventeen-year-old slowly makes her way to the stage while sobbing uncontrollably.

"Now that we have our female tribute let's see who this year's male tribute is," Ella enthusiastically screamed as she clapped her hands.

Ella then walked over to the other bowl and took out a piece of paper.

"The Male Tribute for District 4, for the 65 Hunger Games is Finnick Odair,"
