District 13

Finnick had stayed in his room the entire time for the past few days. The only time that he left this room was to eat dinner but apart from there he just laid in his bed, thinking out Lea, about the horrible things that they were probably doing to her because she warned District 13 for the attack.

Suddenly there was a knock at his door.

"Come in," Finnick softly said as he sat up in his bed.

The door opened, revealing someone whom Finnick didn't expect at all.

"Hey Finnick, can I talk to you for a second?" Plutarch asked.

"Sure, come on in," Finnick said to which Plutarch nodded. He then sat down next to Finnick on his bed.

"First, President Coin wanted me to tell you that because of Lea's warning, we got 6 more minutes for evacuation, she won't forget that and neither will I," Plutarch said.

"Well, you can show your gratitude by rescuing her before they kill her," Finnick scoffed.

"That is actually why I wanted to talk to you," Plutarch said.

"They are organizing a rescue mission?" Finnick hopefully asked.

"Yes, The dam went down in District 5, took out most of the power to the Capitol, and knocked out their signal defense, Beetee is inside their system now, reeking all kinds of havoc. The window is open and I don't know how much longer it will be, probably until the Capitol can get the power back on. I got the word that Lea and the others are held in the tribute center and with the power off, Coin sees an opportunity," Plutarch explained.

"That's great, can I join the rescue team?" Finnick asked.

"No, that is a bad idea. No other victors can be part of it, we don't want to risk that they capture you too, in that way they will even have more leverage over us," Plutarch.

"Alright, what do you want me to do then?" Finnick asked.

"Well, if we just attack the tribute center, they will notice and try and stop us so we need to use some kind of diversion and that is where you come in," Plutarch asked

"I'll do whatever I can to help," Finnick said.

"We want you to do a live broadcast to the Capitol in which you tell what they did to you after your games. They will think that the broadcast is another propo but what they don't know is that it will jam their entire system with noise which will disrupt their internal communications and as long as the broadcast goes through, our team should be able to get in and out undetected,"  Plutarch explained.

"Alright, but I want Cashmere to join me. I wasn't the only one," Finnick sighed.

"I can try to arrange that," Plutarch said.

"Thanks," Finnick replied.

"Alright, go get Cashmere and come to the main quarters," Plutarch said as he stood up.

"Okay," Finnick said as he also stood up from his bed.

About a minute later, Finnick reached Cashmere and Kai's bedroom. He then knocked on the door.

"Come in," Cashmere's voice sounded.

"Oh hey Finnick," She said as she saw Finnick entering her room.

"Hey Cash, I have something important to ask you but before I tell you I want you to know that there is absolutely no pressure," Finnick said.

"Alright, you are kinda scaring me," Cashmere said while raising her eyebrows.
