it is normal for me and my wife to wake up not cuddling with each other, well unless if our children sleeps with us. but today, the moment i woke up earlier, she's on the other side of the bed, nakaupo and looked bothered.
i dont know if its about her work, or if she have a problem na hindi ko alam, well for all i know, baka its the latter. we're in the kitchen now eating our breakfast together but she hasnt uttered a single word to me, not even a good morning.
i tried to reach for her hand but she quickly withdrawed her hand at the table, i looked at her confused. "what's wrong?" i asked, but dedma lang siya, huminga ako nang malalim at sinubukan siyang tanungin ulit.
"mauuna na ako, walang pasok mga bata. suspended." she said before grabbing her bag, tumayo ako to stop her, i grabbed her wrist and made her turn to face me, "what is wrong and you will tell me now" i said, i demand it.
"i have no time to discuss things with you now" she said and looked at me in my eyes, "bitiwan mo ako" nawalan ako ng choice at binitawan ko nalang siya, kinuha ko agad ang susi ko at lumabas ng bahay.
"fine, if you're mad at me, then fine. but let me drive you to work, its the least i could do to i dont know, maybe lessen your galit sa akin, get in the car wife, don't argue na" i said saka ko binuksan ang pintuan ng passenger seat, pumasok na siya sa sasakyan at nag drive na ako paalis.
the whole ride ay walang nagsasalita, her not talking to me feels like hell. a legit hell. imagine having a wife that is an attorney, owns a firm, handling high profile cases, is not talking to you. para kang nakastuck sa freezer because of the cold air, but at the same time you're burning because she isnt talking to you.
"we'll talk later, pag uwi sa bahay. i dont care what it is, you will tell me what is wrong" i said and looked at her, "hon, hindi ako sanay na ganito ka. kaya please, kung ano man yan, pag usapan natin" i said before pulling over sa parking lot ng firm niya.
i reached for her hand, "i wont go anywhere, if something happened, call me agad" i said and kissed the back of her hand.
she finally looked at me and kiss me on the lips, bumaba na siya ng sasakyan at pumasok na sa firm, umalis na ako but i had to call someone to make bantay to my wife, i dont have anyone to trust so i hacked her cctv nalang sa mismong office niya, hehe.
nakita kong binaba na niya ang bag niya then she started to do her work, umalis na ako papuntang hospital at malapit na ang duty ko. nakaopen pa rin ang phone ko para makita ko ang ginagawa niya.
my shift started and it went well naman, i called the kids and asked if they ate already, si svea lang hindi pa raw kumain dahil hindi pa tapos sa ginagawa niya. serene is sleeping na raw already, i ended the call na dahil may crisis na naman sa E.R
an unknown number texted me, at first hindi ko sana bubuksan but then its my work phone kaya binuksan ko na and its all about business lang naman. follow that text was a phone call from tannie's firm.
"hello? is this attorney's coldwell wife? she passed out po" the girl on the other line said, i opened my phone to check the cctv and indeed she passed out, kel is there at bubuhatin na si tannie, i told the nurses na im going somewhere important.
once again nawalan na naman ako ng pake sa daan, yung misis ko nahimatay, hindi ako mapapakali. umaabot na ng 120 ang takbo ko makarating lang ako on time sa firm niya, i kept on checking the phone rin at nakita kong nilabas na nila si tannie sa office niya, baka dinala na sa clinic sa firm.
pagdating ko sa firm, nag park agad ako at dumiretso na sa clinic nila, and there i saw my wife in bed sleeping peacefully. "i told her to rest, doc. i havent gave her any pills to take" the nurse said, tumabi agad ako sa misis ko at hinawakan ang kamay niya, "kukunin ko bp niya and her temperature also, hand me the thermometer" i said, binigay din niya yung pang-bp.
