Artys's Pov,
Some Day's Later,
Standing outside of Winterfell I see the many pires in front of us. Stumbling over to the one that Tommen and Robin lay on I feel the tears well in my eyes as I look at their white skin while their eyes remain closed.
"You may have thought that your father would have wanted me more as a son, but I'm sure he'll be proud of the boy that's now with him." I whisper as I lay my hand on his chest and my tear falls down onto it. "And one day when my eyes close here I will see you again, to me you'll always be Tommen Baratheon." I say with a heavy breath before leaning down and placing a kiss against the top of his head.
Taking a step back I see Robin lay there making me take the Arryn pin off of my chest and put it on his. "After all was said and done, you stood here and fought............ you made the choice yourself and I was not going to stop you for fighting what you believed in, As High as Honor are our words and you kept to them. I-I didn't say it enough.... maybe never at all but I love you little brother and watch over each other oke?" I whisper while I feel the tears move down my cheeks, placing a kiss on the top of his head I soon take some steps away as I walk back or more stumble over to the people while I see Sansa and Daenerys aslo walk back over.
"We're here to say goodbye to our brothers and sisters. To our fathers and mothers. To our friends. Our fellow men and women who set aside their differences to fight together and die together so that others might live. Everyone in this world owes them a debt that can never be repaid. It is our duty and our honor to keep them alive in memory for those who come after us and those who come after them for as long as men draw breath. They were the shields that guarded the realms of men. And we shall never see their like again." I Speak loudly as I hold my stomach with one hand but keep my head high before a torch is being handed to me.
As me, Sansa, Jon, Daenerys, Arya, Tormund and Greyworm step forward we spread out as I stand in front of the pyre with Tommen and Robin. Placing the torch against the wood with the others soon it starts to catch fire as this is our last goodbye to them.
"Till we meet again." I whisper under my breath before turning around and slowly walking back to the others as we look at the flames that continue to grow higher and higher.
...............................................................
Sitting in the mostly quiet hall I release a heavy sigh, what comes now? Well I know what Daenerys wishes she would have had us all start marching yesterday if she could have done it. Seeing Gendry, Robert's bastard stand up soon the voice of Daenyers fills my ears.
"Gendry." She says and it makes the hall become even more silent as he turns towards us. "That's right, isn't it?"" Yes, Your Grace." She says and the boy gives her a simple nod making a frown appear on my face as I think I know where she is going to with this! "You are aware he took my family's throne and tried to have me murdered?" She continues and now the man speaks.
"I didn't even know he was my father until after he was dead."
"Yes, he's dead. His brothers are too. So who's Lord of Storm's End now?" She says and I clench my jaw as I don't even wish to look at her. "I don't know, Your Grace." He speaks and she now asks the question to the hall. "Does anyone?" But no answers are heard as there is off of right now no lord of Storm's End.
"I think you should be Lord of Storm's End."
"I can't be. I'm a bastard." Gendry says as the hall mumbles about her words and she's going to make him lord of Storm's End so that than he will forever be in her debt. "No, you are Lord Gendry Baratheon of Storm's End, the lawful son of Robert Baratheon. Because that is what I have made you." She says and it makes the boy nod his head in shock before Davos stands up with his cup in hand.
"To Lord Gendry Baratheon of Storm's End." He says and soon the whole hall follows as they rise up from their seats with cup in hand and salute the new lord of Storm's End.
"To Gendry!"
"Lord Gendry!"Seeing him take a cup from Jon who's smiling soon he salutes the hall with it making them cheer even louder as I turn my eyes towards Jace before a smile appears on my face as I slowly but surely get up.
Holding my hand up soon the place falls silent as they turn towards me. "My wife has granted Gendry with something he deserved, as Robert Baratheon's son he has a right to Storm's End and to carry the Baratheon name. So congrats Lord Gendry." I say with a small bow of my head.
"T-thank you, your grace." He says with his own bow. "Jace." I say and the boy almost chockes in his cup of ale making Ser Barristan slap his back before he turns towards me. "Y-yes your grace." He squeeks out and I motion for him to step forward.
"Some of you might know Jace, he's been with me for many years..... longer than any one in this room. He was there when I became a knight, when my father passed, when I got wed, he was there when Ser Barristan came with the news that Robert passed and named me his heir, he was there when we went to war. For the good and the many bads we've seen these years Jace was there, he's fought with me, he bled with me and he's grieved with me. I gave him knighthood but there's something more I can give him, from this day forward you Jace will be known as Lord Jace with a name for your house as you please, Lord of The Twins and Lord of the Crossing. I know you will be able to bring it more honor than its last lords." I say and his eyes widen as I take my cup and raise it.
"To Jace!" I say as I salute at him before many more follow as they once again raise their cups and begin to salute the shock written man.
"Lord Jace!"
"To Jace!""Now I wish for us all to try and find the bottoms of our cups! The dead would not wish for us to sit here in silence, they would have wished for us to tell stories! Cheer and most importantly they would have wished for us to laugh!" I loudly say as I raise my cup and they start to cheer louder while I take some sips from the drink in hand.
.............................
The hall is now sounding alive, and like people who just won, drinks are flowing just as fast as tales as I sit with Tormund, Jon, Jace and Ser Barristan.
"To the Winged King!" Tormund voice booms as he so quickly raises his horn that soon ale flies out of it while the hall erupts in roars of cheers.
"He's young but he's strong. ah I've heard so many stories about him! The Demon of the Trident Reborn!" He yells making once again cheers fill the hall as he slaps my back hard! "The Winged King! He keeps fighting! Here, South, East! Here again! He keeps fighting, he bloody keeps fighting!" He adds loudly as I sip from my cup, I think he's been hanging out with Jace too much.
"He climbed on a fucking giant bird and fought. What kind of person climbs on a fucking giant falcon!? A madman or a king!" He yells and once again cheers and roars erupt in the hall while Tormund loudly laughs as he holds my cup up more and more forcing more and more of the liquor to be drank by me.
"To Artys!"
"The Winged King!"
"To King Artys!" They yell as I finish the drink and Tormund's laughter still fills my ears as Jon, Jace and Ser Barristan also hold their cup up with a soft smile on his lips. "To the rightful king of Westeros! And soon he will lead us to victory against the cunt who sits on his throne!" One yells and they all yell in agreement while my eyes slightly move over to Daenerys who looks ready to spew fire on us all.
"Together we will take the Iron Throne, and together we will rule." I say as I motion at the girl and raise my cup at her. "To the Dragon Queen." I say making the lords slowly but surely follow after me.
"To the Dragon Queen."
