I took a deep breath and tried to control myself. I told myself that I had to get out of there now, before he came back. My car was in the car park, I couldn't go back there now, he might be waiting for me. I picked my phone up off the floor, it must have fallen from my bag or something. I hadn't even noticed. My hands were shaking as I found the number on my phone.

"Soph? It's me, can you come pick me up?" If she sensed something was wrong from the panic in my voice, she didn't say.

"Yeah I'll be there in twenty, okay?"

"Sure"

I ended the call and looked at my left hand, it felt wet. I was bleeding. I wasn't sure from what. Had I been holding on to something? If I was then I certainly didn't have it now. More footsteps in the corridor startled me into action. I got up slowly, every part of my body seemed to ache, but I needed to move from that spot in case he came back. I glanced up as Gray stopped in front of me and picked a piece of paper up off the floor.

"Hey Vic, is this yours?"

I looked at it blankly. "Yeah I guess it must be" I answered quietly, confused. He handed it to me, then looked at me more closely "Are you okay?"

"Yeah fine thanks Gray" I lied. I couldn't let him know how upset I was. He nodded and went on his way. I could sense that he didn't believe me, but I knew he was too busy to ask questions.

When he'd gone I opened out the crumpled piece of paper curiously and saw some vaguely familiar handwriting; Here's my number as promised, call me later? I want to take you out for a drink, love Ronan xx

Ronan? Ronan Keating??

Fuck!

I swore under my breath as everything came flooding back to me. There was no way I could go out with him now. I jumped as I heard more footsteps in the corridor.

"It's only me silly" Soph stopped when she saw me. "Shit Vic are you okay?" "You look terrible"

"I'm fine" I lied. "I'll explain when we get home"

Then I realised she didn't even know that there was anything to explain.

"Does Dan need a lift home?"

"No" She must have heard something in my voice, as she didn't question why, just took my arm and led me to the car.
