When the phone had rang at first I'd thought it was Vic, ringing to tell me that she wasn't coming home.
I wouldn't have blamed her.
If I'd been on a date with Ronan Keating then I wouldn't have wanted to come home either.
So when I answered the phone to the man himself, it was all I could do not to drop the receiver.
I got to the hospital as quickly as I could, but by the time I'd found somewhere to park and found where Vic was being kept, she was fast asleep.
Ronan and I spent the night talking and making plans to protect Vic from Dan.
