Jessica Abigail Keating was born at 3am on the 2nd September 2005 to much excitement from both of her parents.

I was utterly exhausted but smiled as Ro cradled his new-born daughter in his arms, they looked so perfect together. I couldn't wait for us to start the rest of our family life together.

Mother and baby were allowed home two days later, and we had a good laugh (almost waking poor Jessica in the process) about how I got more fan mail than Ronan, even though I'd had lots of time off through being pregnant!

I was reading a card one day with a look of confusion on my face, when Ronan came home from a meeting with Louis.

"Hey babe" he greeted me with a kiss. "What's up?" I handed him the card wordlessly. He studied it for a moment before a flash of anger passed across his face. "She's got a flipping nerve!"

"I know!"

The card was from Laura. We'd not heard a word from her since that day I'd thrown her off our doorstep almost two years ago. And I hadn't expected to ever again.

Ro was right, she did have a nerve. I mean honestly!

The telephone rang interrupting my thoughts. I grabbed it quickly not wanting to disturb Jessica who was asleep in her crib.

"Hello?"

"Hi Vicky, it's Mike -is Ro there?"

"Hi Michael, how are you?"

"I'm fine. How's mummy?" I giggled at this. "I'm fine thanks Mike, I'll just get Ro for you"

"Mike" I mouthed to Ro as I passed him the phone.

"Hey Mike, what's up?"

"Yeah, I really wanted to spend some time here with Vic tho.."

"What does he want?" I mouthed.

Ronan shrugged at me. "He can come 'round" I said.

Lately Mike and Ronan had been meeting quite a lot, I had no idea what the pair of them were up to, some huge musical adventure no doubt..

As long as they weren't dragging me into it I didn't care. I'd have enough music for a while. I never thought I'd find myself saying that. But life after the X Factor had been a endless cycle of signings, personal appearances, video and photo shoots, with some singing thrown in for good measure!

It hadn't stopped whilst I'd been pregnant either, just slightly less hectic, and I knew that Louis wouldn't let me off the hook for long, so I'd have to make the most of the next few months off.

About an hour later I answered the knock at the door, Ro had gone to check that the studio was all set up ok.

For some reason Mike always made me feel slightly uncomfortable, but I was never really sure why.

"You look good Vic. It's lovely to see you. Where's Ro?"

I blushed at his compliment. "Thanks Mike. He's in the studio already, go on in.."

I turned and stared at him as he walked out the room, I'd never noticed how good looking he was in the flesh before. Of course I'd fancied him back in the day when the Boyz posters had been all over my bedroom wall, but this was different ....

Stop it! I said to myself.

You're married!!

But then I realised why he made me feel uncomfortable....

I fancied him.

Of course I did...

Bloody hormones..
