Ninety Two

~Summer 2008~

And so here I am nearly a year and a half later, and nothing much has changed, Jessica is the only sunshine in my life and helps me through the darkest of days and Ronan...

Well Ronan seems to have moved on, even if I haven't....

"Mummmmmmmmmmmmmmmy" yelled Jessica in my ear.

"Yes love?" I grinned, she was clearly enjoying her first ever Boyzone concert. 

I picked her up and pointed at Ronan. "Look, wave at Daddy," I said. 

She did, but there was no response. I looked away, shocked and a bit hurt. I was sure he had seen her – and me. 

My grin was slowly wiped away. "Why won't Daddy wave at me?"

"Um. He probably didn't see you" I lied. "The lights are so bright..."

In truth I had no idea, and I'd bloody kill him when I saw him. It was one thing not speaking to me, but to outright ignore our daughter was another thing entirely!

Argh, he made me so angry. Just when I thought I'd gotten over him... 

I wiped the tear away from my eye before Jessica could notice and looked up at the stage, trying to focus on something other than my ex-husband. 

And then I saw him and a smile slowly formed on my face, he'd been brilliant over the last few months, a real saviour to me - and Jess.

"Look, wave at Uncle Mikey" I said changing the subject as he came centre stage.

Mick waved at Jessica, caught my eye and winked at me. My heart skipped a beat as I waved back shyly, and then he blew me a kiss.

If I hadn't had Jess with me I'd have surely passed out. 

But I guess it was good to know I could fancy another man...that he could make my heart race like Ro...

No, I wasn't even going to think his name, he wasn't going to ruin my evening now, or the rest of my life for that matter.

It was time to move on, and I may have just found the man to help me do it. 

It was just a question of whether he felt the same, I suspected he did, but I was too much of a wimp to ask him.
