Vic

Sophie had the day off work the next day. Some holiday she'd had to 'use or lose'

"Soph?"

"Yes hun"

"Would you do me a favour?"

"Mmmm depends what it is?" she teased.

"Could you drive me to work?"

"You can't go back to work yet!"

"No!" I said, "I want to speak to them....to tell them, I'm not sure I'm going back at all?"

"Is this about what we talked about last night"

I nodded, I had told her about my conversation....she'd told me to follow my heart.

"If you want my opinion, I think you're doing the right thing!"

I looked at her.

"Getting away from Dan I mean"

"I'm not doing it for that!"

"I know!...but..."

"It's Ok, I know what you mean"

As we pulled up outside the arena, I saw Dan walking across the upper car park, he was hand in hand with one of the security girls.

"Somebody needs to tell her!" I said to Sophie.

"Come on Vic, you can't interfere, you know everyone knows what he's like now anyway"

"They do?!"

"Yes, good news travels fast" she said sarcastically.

Brian was on the gate and waved when he saw me, he raised the barrier. Sophie parked the car. "You want me to come with you?"

"Thanks hun, but I think I'd better do this myself"

I got into the lift and made my way down the corridor to our office.

"Vic!" exclaimed Julie when she saw me, "What are you doing here?"

"You're not meant to come back until you get rid of those things" she said pointing at my crutches.

"Oh, never mind that" I said, "Is Jim around?"

"Yeah he's next door" she said referring to our small office next door.

"Thanks"

"Vicky, how are you?"

"Fine thanks Jim, you?"

"Yes, busy though without you"

"Ah...that was why I came to see you, I don't think I'll be coming back"

Jim looked at me shocked and then said, "You're not going to live with your parents are you?"

"Er no, I'm moving to Ireland" I said.
