Sixty Six

I knocked softly on the studio door.

"Come in"

"Hey, I bought you superstars some drinks" I said, as I walked into the studio. Ro was sat fiddling with the mixer and Mike was frantically scribbling notes on a piece of paper.

"I thought you were the superstar around here?" said Mike looking up from his writing.

 "Ha. So they tell me" I said. "What are you guys up to anyway?"

Mike glanced at Ronan who shook his head slightly. Mike winked at me, "Sorry Vic, top secret information that"

"Ok" I laughed. Not really bothered. 

Whatever they were plotting I'm sure they would tell me eventually.

"Anyway" I said, putting the tray I was carrying on the desk in front of me, it was starting to make my arm ache. "I bought you two tea, let me know if you want anything stronger yeah?"

Ronan laughed. "It's a bit early to start on the Jack isn't it?"

I raised my eyebrows at him. "Who are you and what have you done with my husband?" I grinned.

Ronan swatted me on the arm playfully then grabbed me suddenly and pulled me onto his lap. 

He kissed my neck gently, sending a shiver down my spine. Suddenly I really wished that Mike wasn't there. 

Since having Jessica we'd not done more than kissed, but suddenly I wanted my husband,  more than I ever had before. 

I think Ro sensed that I was uncomfortable about something although I'm sure he didn't know the reason why.

"Hey Vic, why don't we get a baby sitter tonight and go out?"

"Don't you think it's a bit soon?" To be honest, we could have done with a good night out, but the way I felt right now, I'd much rather have stayed in.

"Yeah you're probably right?"

"Hey Vic" said Mike suddenly. "I must say you are looking very well..."

Ronan grinned "She always looks gorgeous don't you?" 

Mike nodded in agreement. "Hey hands off she's mine" said Ronan laughing.

"How's Karen?" I retorted. Mikey had been dating Karen, one of the Boyzone backing dancers for a few years now. 

He laughed. "She's fine thanks"

"Any wedding bells on the horizon?" I teased. 

Mike looked slightly uncomfortable with this.
