Vicky

Mick and Ro spent most of the day in the recording studio. I sat and watched the TV with Jessica and tried to write some lyrics for my new album that I was supposed to be working on. But to be honest my mind wasn't really on it. First the card from Laura and now all the stuff from Dan.

It was like someone was trying to ruin my new life by dredging up the past.

My thoughts were interrupted by the shrill ringing of the telephone. I sighed and picked up the receiver, I'd been planning on letting Ro answer it, in case it was the Gardai.

Whatever they were doing in the studio, meant that they never heard it ring.

"Hello?"

"Vic, how are you"?

"Louis. What do you want?" I sighed, only just managing to be civil to him.

Him and Ro had had a massive falling out about Ronan's last studio album. It had been a horrible thing to witness, especially as I'd been pregnant at the time. It has started off with the whole direction of the album. Louis had been trying to push for things that Ro didn't feel comfortable with and had wanted to do the album on his own.

With my help and also with Ro's experience I had thought that Ro had had a valid point and that he shouldn't let Louis tell him what to do. Unfortunately Louis hadn't seen it like that! They'd only just started speaking to each other again. And I wasn't as quick to forgive as my husband. I mean Louis was a great guy, but he really did have some stupid ideas!

"Ronan's busy"

"Ah, but I didn't want to speak to Ro. I wanted to speak to you"

Oh.

"I need to know when you can come back to the studio"

I sighed. I'd known it was coming, but hadn't thought it would be so soon. I'd been reluctant to work with Louis again after all that had happened, but I didn't really have a choice. Simon was too busy and all the other record labels and managers weren't interested in someone that had come from a reality TV show. No matter how credible an artist you were proved to be after that show.

"I don't know Louis, Jessica's only a few days old for goodness sake" I normally bit my tongue with Louis, but wasn't in the mood today.

"I know Vic, but the record company are asking..."

"Well they'll have to bloody wait won't they! I am not prepared to bring my child to a recording studio, and I am NOT leaving her with some nanny when she's just days old Louis. I won't have it"

"Right, so what about in six months?"

"Call me back then and I'll see" I said angrily.

Couldn't believe he was pushing so hard for it.

"Everything ok Vic?"

I jumped as Mick came into the room, just moments after I'd slammed the phone down. "Ro's just finishing some mixing, I just came to say bye. I'm off now"

"Oh hi Mike. Sorry about that. Just Louis being a pain in the arse as usual"

Mike shook his head sympathetically.

"Can you believe he wants me to go back to work already. He's loosing it I swear.."

"What?"

"I know. He's off his head!"

"Do you want me to have a word?"

Mike knew all about Louis and Ro's falling out, so knew that I wouldn't want to ask Ro.

"Would you mind?"

"You're a star Mike, you really are"

"Hey, It's no problem"

"And remember, call me if you need anything yeah?"
