I wonder what we could be
My mom said maybe one of them will be your husband
You keep the conversation up
Even though we have nothing to talk about
So we just update the other on the day's events
Catching frogs, mowing the lawn
I see your mom's posts and smile because you already sent me videos
Eating pasta, doing math
Coding, do you still do art?
It's flooding here, water parks
You're in Greece now
I'll go to Czechia before you though
Only problem is we haven't seen each other in five years
Maybe we liked each other last time we saw each other but we were twelve-year-olds, now we're seventeen-year-olds
Would we still?
We get along well, you're cool and chill and sweet and funny
Not sure what you think of me but apparently good enough to keep talking to me after five years
I still tell people that we liked each other in seventh grade
But truthfully we never spoke a word about it
I just know we did
No other explanation
What if I told you I used to like you
We've never talked about it
We were the cutest little seventh graders
I guess I forgot
I just was thinking the other night
Why the heck do I text this dude
And I started wondering
Oh well
Have fun doing math
Don't be too sad saying bye to your brother
We probably all changed now
The Exodus changed us all
