Chapter 46

Isa's nursing job had been taking a toll on her, and she found herself more exhausted with each passing day. Meanwhile, the selección had been practicing rigorously for the Copa America tournament, only to be eliminated by Ecuador in the group stage. The team returned home, feeling sad and disappointed. Isa, always the supportive friend, was there with the team, consoling each one of them.

Flashback

Isa remembered the night after their elimination. She had gone to each player, offering words of comfort and encouragement. Santiago had been particularly down, and she spent extra time with him, talking and reassuring him that there would be other opportunities.

"Gracias, Isa. No sé qué haríamos sin ti," Santiago had said, his eyes reflecting his gratitude and admiration.

"Siempre estaré aquí para ustedes, Santi," she had replied, giving him a supportive hug.

Present Day

Kevin had decided to surprise his friends by organizing a romantic date for Santiago and Isabella. He wanted everything to be perfect, so he enlisted the help of Edson, who was initially jealous since his sister was now going out with Santi.

"¿Por qué tiene que ser Santiago?" Edson grumbled. "No me gusta la idea de que salga con mi hermana."

"Vamos, Edson," Kevin said. "Santi es un buen tipo. Además, Isa lo merece."

Edson sighed. "Lo sé, pero aún así... es mi hermana."

Despite his initial jealousy, Edson agreed to help Kevin plan the date. They chose an elegant restaurant with a beautiful balcony view, perfect for a romantic evening.

Meanwhile, Luis was in charge of distracting Isa so she wouldn't be home to see the surprise. He decided to take her to the fair, knowing she loved spending time there.

"Isa, ¿te gustaría ir a la feria hoy?" Luis asked, trying to sound casual.

"¡Claro, me encantaría!" Isa replied with excitement.

Luis took Isa to the fair, where they went on rides and enjoyed various games. He made sure she had the best day possible, all the while hiding his own feelings. He wanted to have her all to himself, but he knew it would be impossible from now on because she would soon be Santi's girlfriend.

"Vamos a la rueda de la fortuna," Luis suggested, hoping to make the most of their time together.

"¡Sí, vamos!" Isa agreed, smiling brightly.

As they rode the Ferris wheel, Luis couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. He had waited for this day to come, but it was bittersweet.

"Mira, Isa, qué hermosa vista," Luis said, pointing to the view from the top of the wheel.

"Sí, es preciosa," Isa replied, enjoying the moment.

Back at the restaurant, Kevin and Edson were busy setting up the perfect date. The balcony was decorated with fairy lights and flowers, creating a magical atmosphere.

"Esto se ve increíble," Edson admitted, despite his earlier reservations. "Santi mejor la trate bien."

Kevin nodded. "Lo hará. Ahora solo queda esperar."

Once everything was ready, Luis and Isa returned from the fair. Isa was surprised and touched by the setup when she saw it.

"Wow, esto es increíble," she said, looking around in awe.

Santiago, waiting on the balcony, smiled nervously. "Isa, quería hacer algo especial para ti. Vamos a cenar primero."

They sat at the beautifully set table, enjoying a delicious meal together. The conversation flowed easily as they talked about everything from their childhood memories to their hopes for the future.

"¿Te acuerdas de la vez que fuimos al parque y nos perdimos?" Isa laughed, recalling a fond memory.

"¡Cómo olvidarlo! Terminamos en el otro lado de la ciudad," Santi chuckled. "Fue una aventura."

As they finished their dessert, Santiago stood up and extended his hand to Isa. "Tengo algo más para ti. Sígueme."

Intrigued, Isa took his hand and followed him through the restaurant. They walked to a secluded area at the back, where twinkling lights illuminated a path. At the end of the path, there was a large sign that read, "¿Quieres ser mi novia?" in elegant lettering.

Isa gasped, her eyes widening in surprise and delight. "Santi, esto es... increíble."

Santiago turned to face her, holding her hands in his. "Isa, desde que te conocí, supe que había algo especial entre nosotros. No puedo imaginar mi vida sin ti. ¿Quieres ser mi novia?"

Isa's eyes filled with tears of happiness. "Sí, Santi, quiero ser tu novia."

Santiago smiled and pulled her into a gentle kiss, sealing their new relationship. "Gracias, Isa. Prometo hacerte feliz cada día."

Isa hugged him tightly. "Sé que lo harás."

They walked back to the balcony, hand in hand, where they continued their evening under the stars. The night was filled with laughter, love, and the promise of a beautiful future together.
