I joined Edson for his soccer training for the second time this week, and with each visit, I felt more at ease with my brother's teammates. As we arrived at the training ground, Diego and Sebastian were the first ones to greet me with enthusiastic hugs. Thankfully, Edson didn't notice, or else he would have activated his overprotective mode.
The soccer field buzzed with energy, players dribbling and passing, coaches shouting instructions. I found a spot on the sidelines, watching Edson work with determination on the field.
Diego approached me and asked, "¿Cómo te sientes hoy, Isabella?"
Respondí con una sonrisa, "¡Me siento genial! Gracias por preguntar, Diego."
Sebastian joined us, saying, "Es bueno verte de nuevo, Isabella. ¿Estás disfrutando el entrenamiento?"
"¡Sí, definitivamente! Me encanta ver a Edson en acción y conocer a todos ustedes," I replied sincerely.
Diego asintió con aprobación, "Nos alegra tenerte aquí. Siéntete como en casa."
Throughout the training session, I was impressed by how close the team was. They weren't just teammates; they were like a family, supporting each other both on and off the field. I felt like I was becoming a part of that bond, and I was thrilled for Edson to have such amazing teammates.
After the training session, we headed to the locker room. Edson was tired but happy. As he changed, Diego approached me quietly, "Espero que hayas disfrutado hoy, Isabella. Nos encanta tenerte aquí."
Le agradecí con una sonrisa, "¡Gracias, Diego! Realmente aprecio cómo me han recibido todos ustedes."
When Edson emerged from the locker room, we said our goodbyes and headed home. During the ride back, I shared with Edson about my day at the training ground and how welcomed I felt by everyone. He smiled and thanked me for accompanying him.
At the end of the day, I felt grateful for the opportunity to be part of Edson's soccer world and to meet amazing people like Diego, Sebastian, and the rest of the team.

The next day:Today I decided to treat myself to some shopping in CDMX. As I strolled through the plaza, I couldn't resist the allure of Victoria's Secret. The delicate lingerie and intoxicating scents beckoned me in, and soon I found myself indulging in some luxurious lingerie and picking out exquisite perfumes and candles.
As I exited the Victoria's Secret store, I unexpectedly collided with Santiago and Julian. Julian wasted no time in taunting me, insinuating that I was buying lingerie to impress a boyfriend. I rolled my eyes at his assumption and replied, "¿Qué novio?"
Julian, always the joker, chimed in again. "But seriously, Isa, who's the lucky guy?" he teased, nudging Santiago with an elbow.
I shook my head, still smiling. "No boyfriend," I replied, emphasizing each word. "Just me, myself, and I."
As I brushed off the playful teasing from Julian, Santiago's expression softened, and he let out a sigh of relief. It was clear that he had been holding back some concern or tension, perhaps unsure of how I would react.
Santiago's expression turned sour, his disdain for me thinly veiled. "That's what I thought," he muttered under his breath, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
I arched an eyebrow, unfazed by his bitterness. "Got something to say, Santiago?" I challenged, crossing my arms defiantly.
He sneered at me, his negative behavior evident. "Just surprised you'd waste your money on that trash," he retorted, his words laced with venom.
I resisted the urge to snap back at him, knowing it would only escalate the tension between us. Instead, I held my tongue and simply shrugged, refusing to let his negativity ruin my mood.
As we parted ways, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that lingered in the air. It was clear that Santiago's hate towards me ran deep, and no amount of lingerie shopping was going to change that. But I refused to let his bitterness dampen my spirits—I would continue to embrace my independence and treat myself to life's little luxuries, regardless of what anyone else thought.
