Kevin had insisted on making pizzas from scratch, so Isa put him to work kneading the dough while she took on the task of making the tomato sauce. As Kevin struggled with the dough, he couldn't help but voice his complaints.
"¿Por qué yo tengo que amasar y tú sólo haces la salsa? ¡Tú tienes la parte fácil!" he grumbled, glancing over at Isa who was calmly chopping tomatoes.
Isa chuckled at his whining, and she walked over to him with a playful smile. Leaning in, she planted a soft peck on his lips. "Ya no te quejes, o te cambio el lugar," she teased, knowing full well he wouldn't want to swap.
Kevin tried to keep a straight face, but the corners of his mouth twitched upward despite his best efforts. With a small sigh, he focused back on the dough, watching a YouTube tutorial on his iPad to make sure he was doing it right.
After a while, his patience began to wear thin, and he complained again, "Ya me duelen las manos, ¿cuánto tiempo más tengo que hacer esto?" His tone was laced with both frustration and a hint of desperation.
Isa couldn't help but laugh softly at his struggle. "Hasta que el dolor en las manos se convierta en amor por la pizza," she teased, leaning on the counter as she watched him with a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Kevin groaned but couldn't help the smile that spread across his face. "Mejor que valga la pena," he muttered, shaking his head as he continued to knead the dough, though there was a playful lightness to his tone now.
Isa grinned, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "Claro que sí. Y si no, siempre podemos pedir una," she joked, knowing that Kevin was too committed to give up now.
He rolled his eyes playfully, finally giving in to the task with renewed determination, though he couldn't resist throwing her a teasing glance. "Más te vale que esa salsa esté perfecta, entonces."
Isa chuckled, leaning in to give him another quick kiss. "No te preocupes, amor. Todo va a salir delicioso... con un poquito de esfuerzo," she said with a wink, returning to her sauce while Kevin, despite his grumbling, continued kneading with a small, satisfied smile on his face.
When Isa called him "amor," Kevin felt a warm rush spread through his chest, almost like his heart had skipped a beat. The word was simple, yet hearing it from her lips made everything he was doing—no matter how trivial or tedious—feel special. It wasn't just about making pizzas anymore; it was about sharing a moment with her, a moment that made him feel closer to her than ever.
As he continued kneading the dough, Kevin couldn't help but smile, the sound of her voice echoing in his mind. The way she casually called him "amor" made him feel a deep sense of contentment, like this was exactly where he was meant to be. He glanced over at her, watching her work on the sauce, and for a brief moment, all his complaints about the dough disappeared, replaced by a growing warmth and affection that made him want to hear her say it again and again.

As Isa spread the tomato sauce over the dough, Kevin couldn't take his eyes off her. There was something about the way she moved, the focused expression on her face, and the light in her eyes that captivated him. He stood there, caught in the moment, forgetting everything else.
"Deja de verme y ayúdame," Isa said, her voice laced with amusement as she noticed him staring. She chuckled, snapping him out of his trance. Kevin blinked, feeling his cheeks flush with embarrassment as he quickly picked up some toppings.
"Lo siento, es que... me distraes," Kevin admitted with a shy smile, reaching for some pepperoni slices. His nerves were getting the best of him, but he tried to play it cool.
"¿Yo te distraigo?" Isa raised an eyebrow, smirking as she placed a few more dollops of sauce on the dough. "Creo que eres tú el que no puede concentrarse, amor."
