Chapter 31

It was now Thursday afternoon, and the Alvarez siblings were really bored at home. "Isa," Edson called from his room. Isa paused her TV and went to Edson's room.

"¿Qué pasó?" she asked.

"Estoy aburridísimo, ¿quieres ir a la casa de Diego? Nos invitó para ir a comer carne asada," Edson said.

"Claro, ¿nos vamos ahora mismo?" Isa asked.

"Como en 10 minutos," he replied.

Isa left to her room to get ready. She decided to wear a blue crop top with some light jeans and her new Jordan 4 Retro "Industrial Blue." She got out of her room, and Edson, who was also wearing a blue button-up shirt with some white shorts, said, "Llevémonos tu Porsche. Combina más con nuestra ropa."

"Está bien," Isa said while getting her keys.

They arrived at Diego's house, and he immediately greeted them. He greeted Edson with their handshake and Isa with a kiss on the cheek.

"Pensé que no vendrían, fueron los últimos en llegar," he said.

"Aquí estamos," Edson replied.

They came into the living room and greeted everyone who was already there. Santi was among the guests, and his face lit up when he saw Isa.

"¡Hola, Isa! ¡Hola, Edson!" Santi said, approaching them.

"Hola, Santi," Isa replied with a smile, feeling her cheeks warm slightly.

"Qué bueno que pudieron venir," Santi added, his eyes lingering on Isa for a moment longer than necessary.

"Nos hacía falta salir un rato," Edson said, looking around at the gathering. "¿Y qué tal va la carne?"

"Ya casi está lista. Vamos a la parrilla," Diego suggested, leading the way.

After Isa and Edson arrived at Diego's house, they were warmly greeted by everyone. The smell of carne asada filled the air as Diego manned the grill, flipping the meat with practiced ease.

In the backyard, a group had gathered, including Sebastián, Chucky, Kevin, Diego, Ozziel, and Jorge. Isa felt a bit shy at first but quickly warmed up as everyone made her feel welcome.

"¡Isa, ven para acá!" Chucky called out, waving her over to where he and Sebastián were standing.

"¡Hola chicos!" Isa greeted them with a smile.

"Hola, Isa. ¿Cómo estás?" Sebastián asked, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Estoy bien, gracias. ¿Y ustedes?" Isa replied.

"Mejor ahora que estás aquí," Chucky said, flashing her a charming grin.

"Sí, definitivamente mejor," Sebastián added, giving her a wink.

Isa laughed, enjoying the attention. "Ustedes siempre tan coquetos," she teased.

"Solo decimos la verdad," Chucky responded, leaning in slightly. "¿Y qué has estado haciendo últimamente?"

"Pues, acompañando a Edson a sus prácticas y descansando un poco," Isa said. "¿Y ustedes?"

"Lo mismo de siempre, entrenar y luego relajarnos un poco," Sebastián said. "Pero cuando hay carne asada, no se puede decir que no."

"Exactamente," Chucky added, laughing. "¿Y a ti, Isa, te gusta la carne asada?"

"¡Claro! Es una de mis comidas favoritas," Isa responded.

Meanwhile, Kevin, Diego, Ozziel, and Jorge were near the grill, chatting and laughing.

"Oigan, no estén monopolizando a Isa," Kevin joked, approaching with a smile.
