Chapter 38

Another week had passed since Santi and Isa's kiss, and it was now Friday. Edson got home from practice and waited for his sister to come home from her nurse shift. She arrived and greeted him.

"Hola, Ed!" Isa said while dropping her bags by the door. "Hola, Isa." Edson replied as he stood up from the couch and hugged his sister.

Edson asked her about her shift, and Isa did the same about his practice. Edson told Isa that he was bored, after a while of figuring out what they wanted to do, Isabella decided to text the group chat that she shared with Edson and some of his teammates to see if they wanted to go somewhere.

"Buenas tardes, muchachos, ¿quieren ir al antro?" she typed.

Soon, lots of replies started popping up on her screen.

"¡Qué onda, Isa! ¡Claro! Manda la dirección," Jorge replied.

"Buenas, yo creo que todos jalamos," César Montes said.

"¡Perfecto! Necesitaba una salida," Diego added.

"¡Ya era hora! ¿A qué hora nos vemos?" Chucky asked.

"Voy manejando, pero avísenme la hora y ahí estoy," Kevin typed.

"Sebastián, ¿tú vas?" Isa asked.

"Claro, Isa. No me lo pierdo," Sebastián replied.

Edson agreed, and they started getting ready. Isa opted to wear a black two-piece outfit that fit her really well. She straightened her hair, wore a bit of makeup, and grabbed her purse and stuff. Edson was waiting for her in the living room and said, "¡Ala! Sí es cierto que uno cambia cuando se baña," while laughing.

Isa playfully smacked his head while laughing too. The siblings got in the car and started to drive to the place.

On the way there, Edson asked, "¿Qué te parece si ponemos música?"

Isa nodded, "¡Sí, claro! Pon algo para animarnos."

Edson connected his phone to the car's Bluetooth and started playing some upbeat music. They both sang along to their favorite songs as they made their way to the club.

When they arrived, they saw some of Edson's teammates waiting outside.

"¡Hola, chicos!" Isa greeted them cheerfully.

"¡Isa! ¡Edson! ¡Qué bueno que llegaron!" Diego exclaimed.

Sebastián added, "Esta noche va a estar buena, ya verán."

Jorge chimed in, "Ya reservé una mesa. Vamos a estar justo al lado de la pista."

"¡Perfecto! Así no tenemos que preocuparnos por dónde sentarnos," Kevin said.

Chucky joked, "Solo espero que Edson no se duerma antes de la medianoche."

Everyone laughed as they all headed inside, ready to enjoy their night out.

Inside the club, the group made their way to the VIP area, where a large table awaited them. The music was loud, the lights were flashing, and the atmosphere was electric. They sat down, ordered some drinks, and began to chat while waiting for more people to arrive.

Sebastián sat next to Isa and immediately complimented her outfit. "Qué guapa te ves," he said, smiling at her.

"Gracias," Isa replied, blushing slightly.

"Ya no me has hablado, Isa," Sebastián said, pretending to be hurt.

"Tú ni te me acercas, parece que me tienes miedo," Isa teased, hugging him.
