Isa woke up to an empty bed, the scent from Kevin's presence lingering in the sheets. She smiled, her thoughts drifting to the previous night when they had kissed for the first time. It had been unexpected, yet somehow felt like the most natural thing in the world. The memory of Kevin's soft lips on hers made her heart flutter, and she couldn't help but replay the moment in her mind, savoring every detail.

Reaching for her phone, Isa noticed a message from "Ojitos Cafés💞" waiting for her. She quickly unlocked her screen and read Kevin's message:

"Buenos días, Isa. Tenía que irme temprano para entrenar, pero quería que supieras que anoche fue increíble. Espero que hayas dormido bien. Nos vemos después, cuídate mucho, hermosa."

Isa's smile widened as she read the message. The thoughtfulness in Kevin's words warmed her heart, making her realize just how much he cared. She could almost hear his voice as she read his message, deep and gentle, filled with sincerity. Without hesitating, she typed out a reply:

"Buenos días, Kev. Yo también disfruté mucho anoche. Espero que tengas un buen entrenamiento, guapo. Nos vemos más tarde, y cuídate tú también."

She hit send and then lay back for a moment, the contentment of their growing connection washing over her. For a brief moment, everything felt perfect.

After a few more minutes of enjoying the lingering warmth from the memory of their kiss, Isa decided to start her day. She got out of bed, the house eerily quiet and empty. The silence reminded her that she was alone, but she didn't mind. It gave her time to think, to process the whirlwind of emotions she had been feeling lately.

Isa headed to the bathroom for a shower, hoping the warm water would help clear her mind. As she let the water cascade over her, she couldn't stop thinking about Kevin—the way his eyes had looked at her with such intensity, the softness of his touch when he cupped her face, and the undeniable chemistry that sparked between them every time they were close. She felt a rush of excitement at the thought of seeing him again later.

After her shower, she dried off and dressed in some comfy clothes—a pair of soft sweatpants and a loose T-shirt. She tied her hair up in a messy bun and made her way to the kitchen to grab some breakfast. The silence in the house felt almost therapeutic as she poured herself a bowl of cereal and sat down in front of the TV, flipping through channels absentmindedly until she landed on a show that seemed interesting.

But as much as she tried to focus on the show, her thoughts kept wandering back to Kevin. The way his eyes crinkled when he smiled, the way he listened so intently when she spoke, and the way his presence made her feel safe and cherished. Everything about him seemed perfect, almost too good to be true. Isa wondered if he felt the same way about her or if she was just getting ahead of herself. But then she remembered how he had kissed her, the tenderness in that moment, and how he had held her so close afterward.

Her heart swelled with hope, and she found herself smiling again, feeling a sense of peace she hadn't felt in a long time.

As she navigated through Instagram, something caught her eye. A news page had posted a headline that read, "¿Volvieron?" Her curiosity piqued, Isa clicked on the post and scrolled down. Her breath caught in her throat as she saw the image—a picture of Santiago and Anastasia in a cafeteria, leaning in for a kiss.

Her heart dropped. It felt like a punch to the gut. The date on the post showed it was from when she was still in the hospital, still in a relationship with Santiago. Isa's eyes widened in disbelief. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. So, this was the reason Santiago hadn't visited her, hadn't called or even texted to check on her. He had been with Anastasia, kissing her while Isa lay in a hospital bed, waiting for him.

A wave of sadness and anger washed over her. She had been trying so hard to move on, to leave the hurt behind, but seeing this made all the old wounds reopen. How could Santiago have done this to her? The betrayal stung more than she expected. It wasn't just the kiss that hurt; it was the fact that he had chosen to spend time with someone else while she was suffering.

Isa clenched her jaw, trying to fight back the tears that were threatening to spill. She had been so naive, so trusting. She had always believed the best in Santiago, even after they had broken up. But now, seeing this, she felt like a fool.

She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath to steady herself. She didn't want to cry over Santiago. He didn't deserve her tears. She had already wasted too much time and energy on him, and it was time to let go completely.

But as much as she tried to push the image out of her mind, it kept resurfacing. She remembered all the times she had defended him, all the times she had told herself that he would never hurt her intentionally. But now, all those reassurances felt hollow, like lies she had told herself to avoid facing the truth.

Isa sighed deeply, trying to shake off the sadness that had settled in her chest. She knew she had to move on, to focus on the good things in her life—like Kevin. Kevin, who had been there for her, who had shown her kindness and care when she needed it most.

Isa forced herself to focus on the present, on the fact that she had something new and beautiful with Kevin, something that had the potential to grow into something even more special. She refused to let Santiago's betrayal ruin that.

With newfound determination, Isa decided to put her phone away and focus on the positives. She wasn't going to let the past dictate her happiness. Santiago was her past, but Kevin... Kevin was her future, she wanted him to be her future. And that thought brought a smile back to her face.

She pushed the hurt to the back of her mind and decided to focus on the good memories she was making now. Isa couldn't wait to see Kevin again, to feel his arms around her, and to remind herself that there were people who truly cared about her.

She smiled, thinking of Kevin's kind words and the way he looked at her. The way he made her feel was something she hadn't felt in a long time, and she wasn't going to let anything—or anyone—take that away from her.
