Chapter 39

As Isa and Santiago stood close, immersed in their unspoken connection, the moment was abruptly interrupted by Edson's voice calling Isa from across the room. She turned to see her brother waving enthusiastically, unaware of the conversation she had been having with Santiago. Santiago nodded at her, silently reassuring her that it was okay to go.

Isa smiled at Santiago apologetically before excusing herself and walking over to Edson. He greeted her with a mischievous grin and began blurting out lyrics to a popular song, trying to get her to join in. Isa laughed and soon found herself singing along with him, their voices blending in playful harmony.

Edson then pulled Isa into a spontaneous dance, twirling her around and making her giggle uncontrollably. He finally settled with his arm around her shoulders, leaning in conspiratorially.

"¿Qué se traen Santiago y tú?" Edson asked teasingly, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively.

Isa chuckled at her brother's antics but decided to indulge him. "Estábamos hablando, nada serio," she replied coyly.

Edson grinned knowingly, "Ah, ya veo. ¡Qué interesante!"

Just then, Kevin approached them, sipping his drink casually. "Hay que jugar a algo, ya se calmó el ambiente," he suggested, looking around at the group.

Isa glanced over at Santiago, who was watching her from across the room. She nodded in agreement, and Kevin called everyone over to form a circle.

"Vamos a jugar verdad o reto," Kevin announced, his voice cutting through the music and drawing everyone's attention.

The group agreed enthusiastically, ready for a new way to keep the night lively. They formed a circle, and Kevin wasted no time diving in with an intense question to set the tone.

Kevin took charge of the game, looking around the circle with a mischievous grin. "Bien, vamos a empezar fuerte. Jorge, verdad o reto?"

Jorge rubbed his hands nervously, "Uh, verdad."

Kevin nodded, leaning in with a serious expression. "¿Alguna vez  le has mentido al entrenador?"

Jorge hesitated for a moment, then confessed, "Sí, una vez le dije que no iría a la práctica por una situación familiar, pero en realidad estaba crudo."

The group reacted with playful disbelief, laughing at Jorge's admission.

Diego was next, and he chose "verdad" confidently. "Dime, Diego, ¿alguna vez te has enamorado de dos personas al mismo tiempo?" Kevin asked, raising his eyebrows.

Diego chuckled nervously, scratching his head. "Bueno, sí, me pasó una vez en la preparatoria. Fue un lío."

Isa, feeling bold, decided to join in the intensity. "Kevin, verdad o reto?"

"Verdad," Kevin replied, ready for whatever was coming.

Isa grinned, "¿Cuál es tu mayor arrepentimiento en la vida?"

Kevin's expression softened for a moment before he answered, "No haberle dicho a alguien cuanto significaba para mí antes de que fuera demasiado tarde."

There was a moment of solemn silence among the friends before Sebastián lightened the mood by choosing "reto" and performing a silly dance move that had everyone laughing again.

Chucky, always up for a challenge, asked Isa next, "Isa, verdad o reto?"

"Verdad," she replied, holding her breath.

Chucky smirked, "¿Hay algo que no te atrevas a hacer frente a todos nosotros?"

Isa thought for a moment, then shook her head, "No, creo que estoy lista para cualquier reto que me pongan."
