Today is another day, and Ozziel regaled the guys with tales of his time with Isa yesterday. They cheered him on and teased him. "Uy míralo, se está robando a la señorita Álvarez," said Uriel. The team continued with their banter as they headed outside to train, wondering where the siblings were. After 10 minutes, Isa and Edson finally showed up.
"¿Por qué llegas tarde, Edson?" asked the coach.
"Perdón, Isa no encontraba las llaves del carro," Edson lied.
"No mientas, Edson. No le haga caso Coach, Edson se quedó dormido," Isa interjected.
The coach chuckled, thanking Isa for her honesty. As soon as the siblings set foot on the pitch, the team began whistling and teasing Ozziel. "¡Ozziel, qué pasa contigo?" shouted Luis, prompting more laughter from the team.
Ozziel tried to play it cool, but the teasing continued throughout the training session. Isa and Edson exchanged confused glances, unaware of the inside joke. As practice came to an end, Ozziel couldn't shake off the embarrassment, but he knew he had the support of his teammates, even if they did enjoy poking fun at him.
As the day progressed, Ozziel found himself the subject of playful banter from his teammates at every opportunity. Whether they were in the locker room changing or grabbing a snack together, someone would inevitably bring up his "date" with Isa.
"Hey Ozziel, did you teach Isa any of your smooth moves yesterday?" joked Julian, earning laughter from the rest of the group.
Ozziel laughed along with them, but inside, he was feeling a mix of embarrassment and happiness. He appreciated the camaraderie of his teammates, even if it meant enduring their teasing.
Meanwhile, Isa and Edson couldn't understand why Ozziel was suddenly the center of attention. They exchanged puzzled glances and whispered to each other, trying to piece together what was going on.
After training, as the team headed home, Uriel clapped Ozziel on the back. "Don't worry, Ozzi, we're just having some fun. But seriously, you better treat Isa right!"
Ozziel grinned, feeling grateful for his friends and secretly thrilled by the attention from Isa. He knew that whatever happened, he had their support every step of the way.
As Ozziel excitedly shared his anticipation about starting in the lineup for the upcoming match against Germany, Isa beamed with genuine happiness for him. "I'm so happy for you, Ozziel," she said, her eyes sparkling with pride.
Santiago, who had been watching the scene from afar, couldn't stand seeing Ozziel making Isa laugh. Determined to disrupt their moment, he sauntered over to where they were standing.
"Cuéntame, Isabella, ¿desde cuándo no tienes novio?" he said, trying to put Isa down.
"Desde hace 8 meses, me quise enfocar en mi carrera," Isa responded confidently, not letting Santiago's attempt to embarrass her faze her.
Santiago wasn't expecting such a response from her, so he persisted, trying to make her feel uncomfortable. Meanwhile, from a distance, Jorge observed the situation unfolding. Knowing that Santiago was in the wrong, he decided to intervene.
"Ey, Santiago, ven," Jorge called out, gesturing for him to come over.
Santiago scoffed but reluctantly obliged, leaving Isa and Ozziel to continue their conversation in peace. As he met with Jorge, Santiago was met with a probing question.
"Santiago, do you like Isabella?" Jorge asked, cutting straight to the point.
"What are you talking about, Isabella, seriously?" Santiago responded defensively.
"I've noticed how you look at her," Jorge pointed out.
"Nada que ver, cabrón," Santiago insisted, trying to brush off the suggestion.
Jorge sighed, realizing that Santiago wasn't willing to admit the truth. "Si tú lo dices," he said, shaking his head slightly before walking away.
As Santiago watched Isa and Ozziel interact, a strange feeling gnawed at him. He couldn't quite pinpoint it, but there was a twinge of jealousy mixed with something else. He found himself wondering why he felt this way whenever he saw Isa with one of his teammates. Was it because he secretly harbored feelings for her? Or was it simply a result of his competitive nature?
Lost in his thoughts, Santiago barely registered when his girlfriend, Anastasia, sat down next to him and began kissing him. Startled out of his reverie, he pushed her away abruptly, his mind still consumed by the image of Isa and Ozziel.
"¡Detente!" he snapped, his tone harsher than intended.
Anastasia recoiled, hurt and bewildered by his sudden rejection. "¿Qué te pasa, Santiago?" she demanded, her voice tinged with anger.
Santiago's frustration boiled over as he tried to explain himself, but his words only fueled the argument between them. Despite his attempts to salvage the situation, Anastasia stormed off in a fit of anger, leaving Santiago alone with his thoughts once again.
As he sat there, replaying the events in his mind, Santiago couldn't shake the feeling of unease that lingered within him. Deep down, he knew that something had shifted, both in his relationship with Anastasia and in his feelings towards Isa. But for now, he was left grappling with the unsettling realization that he might be falling for someone he shouldn't.
As the minutes ticked by, Santiago realized that he needed to confront the truth about his feelings, both for Isa and for Anastasia. But the thought of acknowledging his growing attraction to Isa filled him with a sense of dread. What would it mean for his friendships, his relationship with Anastasia, and his place on the team?
With a heavy heart, Santiago gathered his things and prepared to leave, knowing that he couldn't continue to ignore the turmoil brewing within him. As he stepped out into the cool evening air, he couldn't help but wonder what the future held, and whether he would ever find the courage to confront the truth about his feelings for Isa.
