Chapter 35

It was now Sunday afternoon, and Isa was busy getting her things ready for work the next day. Chucky had offered to help Isa choose her scrubs and organize her stuff. Every now and then, he would sneak in a flirtatious comment or a wink whenever she turned around.

"¿Qué tal estos, Isa? ¿Te gustan?" Chucky held up a pair of light pink scrubs.

Isa turned to look and smiled. "Sí, están bonitos. Gracias, Chucky."

Chucky winked at her. "Para ti, cualquier cosa, Isa."

Isa rolled her eyes playfully. "Eres un coqueto, ¿verdad?"

Chucky grinned. "Solo contigo, hermosa."

They continued sorting through her things, with Chucky making sure to flirt whenever he had the chance. After a while, they were done, and Isa suggested that they should go out to buy some tacos.

"¿Qué les parece si vamos por unos tacos?" Isa proposed to the group.

"Uy sí, ya me dio hambre," Kevin said enthusiastically.

"Pinche tragón," Diego commented, shaking his head.

Kevin defended himself. "Es que los tacos de aquí son los mejores. No es mi culpa que sean tan buenos."

With that settled, they all piled into Edson's car and headed to the taquería. Once there, they ordered their tacos one by one. When they received their orders, they went back to the siblings' house to eat.

As they sat around eating their tacos, the conversation was filled with light-hearted banter and flirting.

"En el día brilla el sol, en la noche la luna y en el centro de mi corazón, brillas tú" Kevin said, looking at Isa with a grin.

Isa laughed, shaking her head. "Me sorprendes, esa estuvo buena."

"Siempre me funciona," Kevin winked.

Diego chimed in. "A ver, Isa, ¿qué te parece esta? Te voy a dar un beso, y si no te gusta pues me lo devuelves."

Isa laughed even harder. "Ustedes son imposibles."

Throughout the meal, Isa noticed Santi looking at her. She shot him a smile, and he blushed before winking at her, causing her to blush as well.

"Bueno, esta es la última," Kevin announced, standing up dramatically. "Me encantaría ser ese chicle para estar todo el día en tu boca."

The group erupted in laughter, and Isa shook her head, still smiling. "Vienes con todo, Kevin."

"Para que veas," Kevin replied with a mock-serious face.

As they continued eating and joking around, the mood remained light and enjoyable. Isa felt grateful for her friends and their ability to make her laugh, especially after everything that had happened. The day ended on a high note, filled with laughter and good company, as they all cherished these moments of normalcy and camaraderie.

It was around 7:00 pm, and some of the guys had already started leaving. Isa and Edson stood at the door, saying their goodbyes.

"Gracias por todo, chicos," Isa said with a warm smile, hugging each of them.

"No hay de qué, Isa. Nos vemos pronto," Diego replied, giving her a pat on the back.

"Cuídate, Isa. Y cualquier cosa, ya sabes, estamos aquí," Kevin added, winking at her.

"Gracias, Kevin. Hasta luego," Isa responded, feeling grateful for her friends' support.

After most of the guys left, it was only Edson, Chucky, Jorge, and Isa remaining in the house. They decided to play Uno to pass the time.
