Chapter 61

Sebastián and Diego came up to Isa as she zoned out. "Isa," Sebastián spoke. When he didn't get a response, he slightly pinched her nose. She reacted to this and looked up at them. "¿Me hablaban?" she asked.

Diego laughed and then spoke. "Sí, te estábamos preguntando si querías venir a cenar con todos nosotros esta tarde," he said with a smile on his face.

"Me encantaría, pero le prometí a Edson que iba a reposar," she said, giving them a sad smile.

"No te preocupes, nosotros lo convencemos," Sebastián spoke, winking at her before dragging Diego with him towards Edson, who was talking with Chucky and Arteaga.(se le junto el ganado😜)

Isa watched as the two approached Edson, who raised an eyebrow at their sudden intrusion. She could see the animated conversation from a distance, with Sebastián gesticulating and Diego nodding enthusiastically. Edson looked over at Isa, who gave him a hopeful smile and a small wave.

After a few moments, Edson shook his head but then laughed, clearly giving in to whatever persuasive argument Sebastián and Diego had made. The two returned to Isa with triumphant grins on their faces.

"Está bien, Isa. Edson dijo que puedes venir, pero con la condición de que te cuides y no hagas mucho esfuerzo," Sebastián said, clearly pleased with their success.

"Sí, además, estaremos ahí para asegurarnos de que no te excedas," Diego added.

Isa couldn't help but smile at their efforts. "Está bien, iré. ¡Gracias, chicos!"

Isa's attention was caught by Santiago standing beside her. "Escuché que nos acompañarás a la cena," he said, trying to start a conversation.

After everything that had happened, Isabella and Santiago's relationship wasn't the same anymore. They now felt awkward, and one of them kept secrets from the other. Isa smiled. "Sí, pero nada más estaré un rato," she said.

Santi nodded at her response. There was now an awkward silence. "Isa," he called. She looked at him, who was now sitting beside her. "¿Qué pasó con Diego?"

"¿Sobre qué?" she asked.

"¿Por qué estaba tan cariñoso contigo esta mañana?" he asked, a hint of jealousy in his voice.

Isa stayed quiet for a bit. She wanted to tell him that it was because Diego actually cared about her, but she held herself back and replied with, "No lo sé, supongo que me extrañó," she said, letting out a small laugh.

Santi nodded once again, and there was silence. "Quiero pedirte perdón otra vez, me siento muy culpable, Isa," Santi said, now going into a deeper conversation.

"Ya te perdoné, Santi, ya no me tienes que pedir perdón," she said, trying to force a smile.

Santi hugged her, which took her by surprise. She hesitated for a few seconds before hugging him back. "Te quiero, Isa," he said.

"Mhm, yo también, Santi," she said, closing her eyes, hoping everything that had happened was a nightmare and wishing she could wake up soon.

The rest of the team began to gather their things and prepare to leave to their homes before meeting up again for dinner. Isa watched them, feeling a mixture of emotions. She wanted to be part of their camaraderie but also needed to maintain her boundaries and take care of herself.

Sebastián and Diego came back to Isa, noticing the tension between her and Santiago. "Isa, pasaré por ti a las 8," Sebastián said, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Vale, gracias, Sebas," Isa replied, looking up at him appreciatively.

Diego stared at Santiago with a serious expression, causing Santiago to gulp and look away. He redirected his attention to Isa, smirking at her. Isa looked away, her cheeks turning red, which made Diego chuckle, completely ignoring Santiago.
