As they sat on the bench, the mood shifted, and Isa finally opened up to Kevin. "Ya no estoy con Santi," she admitted quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.

"¿Qué?" Kevin asked, surprised, though a small smile began to form on his face. "¿Terminaste con él?"

"Termino conmigo el lunes," Isa replied, lowering her head as she relived the painful memories.

Kevin leaned closer, concern evident in his voice. "¿Qué pasó?"

Isa took a deep breath and began recounting everything—her argument with Anastasia, the heartbreak of seeing Santiago with her, and the ultimate decision to walk away. She spoke softly, the pain still fresh in her words.

Kevin listened intently, his expression growing more serious. When Isa finished, Kevin couldn't help but make a light-hearted comment. "¿Anastasia? Esa niña parece más preocupada por ser una villana de telenovela que por vivir su propia vida. No le hagas caso, Isa."

Isa chuckled at his words, feeling a bit of the tension ease. Kevin continued, "Y Santi... bueno, si prefiere a alguien como Anastasia, entonces no sabe lo que está perdiendo."

Isa smiled, appreciating Kevin's support. "Gracias, Kev. Eres un buen amigo."

Kevin looked at her, his tone turning more sincere. "Siempre voy a estar aquí para ti, Isa. Siempre."

Kevin and Isa had spent a good amount of time in the park, enjoying each other's company and the activities they had shared. As the sun began to set, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, Kevin suggested one last game.

"Vamos a echarnos un partidito," Kevin said, standing up and stretching his hand toward Isa.

"No tenemos balón," Isa pointed out with a small smile.

"No te preocupes, iremos a comprar uno," Kevin replied, taking her hand and leading her to his car.

Isa couldn't help but smile as they drove to a nearby store. They returned with a shiny new soccer ball, ready to have some fun. Kevin set up makeshift goalposts with water bottles, and the game was on.

"Tú empiezas," Kevin told her, placing the ball in the middle.

Isa kicked the ball, dribbling it with determination, but just as she neared the goal, Kevin swooped in and stole it away with ease.

"Eso no es justo, Kevin, tú eres futbolista," Isa complained, walking toward him, slightly out of breath.

"Injusto ni que nada," Kevin teased, kicking the ball into the makeshift goal and celebrating with Ronaldo's signature move. Isa laughed, gently pushing him away.

They continued playing until Isa finally threw her hands up, dramatically saying, "Ya no puedo."

"Aww, ya se cansó la princesa," Kevin teased, looking at her with a playful smirk.

Isa pretended to be serious, but they both burst into laughter. Kevin put his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close. He leaned down and kissed her cheek softly, his voice warm as he said, "Te quiero mucho, Isa."

"Yo también, Kevin," Isa replied, hugging him tightly as they watched the sun dip below the horizon, feeling a comforting warmth in the midst of the cool evening breeze.

As Kevin stood there with Isa, the warmth of her hug and the cool breeze of the evening blending together, he couldn't help but let his thoughts wander. Holding her close, he felt a sense of peace he hadn't experienced in a long time.

Watching the sun dip below the horizon, Kevin's mind began to replay the events of the day. He thought about how happy he was to see Isa smile again, to hear her laugh, and to feel her presence beside him. It was as if, for a moment, the weight of the world had lifted, and they were just two people enjoying a simple day together. But beneath that joy, there was something deeper, something that had been building inside him for a while.

He remembered the first time he had met Isa, how her energy had drawn him in. She was vibrant, full of life, and there was something about the way she looked at the world that fascinated him. But over time, he had come to realize that it wasn't just her spirit that captivated him—it was her heart. The way she cared for those around her, even when she was hurting, spoke volumes about who she was.

As he held her now, feeling the steady rhythm of her breathing, he couldn't help but think about how much she meant to him. Seeing her go through so much pain with Santiago had been hard. Kevin had been there, silently supporting her, trying to be the friend she needed. But now, as he stood with her, watching the last rays of sunlight disappear, he wondered if friendship was enough.

Kevin's heart ached at the thought of everything Isa had been through. He wanted to protect her, to be the one who could make her forget the hurt and bring back her smile. The memory of her tears, the way her voice had cracked when she talked about Santiago, and the exhaustion in her eyes—it all tugged at him in a way he hadn't expected.

He tightened his hold on her, as if he could somehow keep all her pain at bay by simply holding her close. A part of him wanted to confess everything—to tell her how much he cared, how much he wished he could be the one to make her happy. But another part of him hesitated, unsure if it was the right time. Isa had just been through so much, and the last thing he wanted was to add any more confusion to her life.

But as they stood there, with the sky darkening above them and the city lights beginning to twinkle in the distance, Kevin knew one thing for sure—he wasn't going to let her go. Whether as a friend or something more, he was going to be there for her, every step of the way.

"Isa..." Kevin's voice was soft, almost a whisper as he spoke, not really sure where he was going with his words. "No importa lo que pase, siempre voy a estar aquí para ti. Lo sabes, ¿verdad?"

Isa nodded, her head resting on his shoulder. "Lo sé, Kev. Gracias."

He smiled, though she couldn't see it. "No tienes que agradecerme. Solo quiero verte feliz."

They stayed like that for a while, neither of them needing to say anything more. The silence was comfortable, filled with unspoken understanding. Kevin's thoughts were still racing, but for now, he was content to just be there with her, to offer whatever comfort he could. The future could wait. All that mattered in that moment was that they were together, and Kevin knew he wouldn't trade that for anything in the world.

Hiii everyone, I shed some tears writing this last section of Kevin. What do y'all think😬 is Kevin in his right state of mind or is it just a temporary crush?
