Isa was at the hospital for about three days until she was in perfect condition. Edson and Kevin took turns staying with her in the room, ensuring she was never alone. They brought her breakfast and dinner, making time for her despite their busy schedules. Their presence and care provided Isa with the comfort and support she needed during her recovery.
On the other hand, Santiago found himself in a "difficult" situation. He wanted to stop whatever he had going on with Anastasia. Despite still having feelings for her, he knew he liked Isa much more. The realization that he had made a grave mistake began to dawn on him, especially after a serious conversation with Agustina.
Agustina had confronted him sternly, emphasizing the gravity of his actions. "Santi, lo que estás haciendo está mal. Si lastimas a Isa, no te lo voy a perdonar," she had told him, her voice firm and unwavering. She made him think about Isa's feelings and how unfairly he had treated her. Isa had nothing to do with his unresolved feelings for Anastasia, and she didn't deserve to be hurt because of his indecisiveness.
Santiago reflected on his relationship with Isa and realized that he had been the one starting arguments. Isa had always been the first to apologize, even when it wasn't her fault. This self-awareness made him recognize that he was in the wrong. He wished he could turn back time and fix all his mistakes.
He knew he needed to end things with Anastasia, but it was difficult. Anastasia had been his first love, and despite knowing she used him for money, letting go was not easy. However, Santiago understood that he had to make a choice if he wanted any chance of winning Isa back and healing the hurt he had caused.
As Isa was finally discharged from the hospital, she felt a mix of relief and apprehension. Edson and Kevin helped her gather her things and drove her home, ensuring she was comfortable and settled in. Isa's mind, however, kept drifting to Santiago. She wondered if he truly regretted his actions and if there was any hope for them to mend their breaking relationship.
Meanwhile, Santiago resolved to have a final conversation with Anastasia. He needed to make things right with Isa, and that meant cutting ties with the past and focusing on the future he wanted to build with her.
____Santiago felt a knot of anxiety in his stomach as he waited at the cafeteria where he and Isa often bought breakfast. He had asked Anastasia to meet him there, determined to finally break ties with her. As much as he liked her, he knew she was no good for him anymore. Or at least that's what he tried to convince himself.
Anastasia arrived, greeting Santi with a kiss near his lips. Santiago's resolve wavered as he felt the familiar touch. He asked her to take a seat and began to speak, his voice steady but his heart pounding.
"Anastasia, we need to talk," Santiago started, trying to maintain eye contact. "I can't keep doing this. Being with you... it's not right for me anymore. I've hurt someone I care about deeply because of us, and I can't live with that guilt."
Anastasia looked at him with a confused expression. "¿Esto es lo que quieres, cariño?" she asked, her tone flirtatious.
Santiago gulped, steeling himself. "Sí, a mí no me hace bien tenerte cerca," he replied confidently.
Anastasia's expression shifted to one of sadness. "Bueno, entonces supongo que ya no te veré," she said, her voice tinged with regret.
Santiago nodded, feeling a pang of guilt but knowing he had to stick to his decision. "Te puedo dar un abrazo de despedida?" Anastasia asked softly.
He nodded again, and as they hugged, Anastasia found an opportunity. She cupped his face and kissed him. Santiago couldn't help himself; he melted into the kiss, the memories of their past flooding back. It had been so long since he had kissed his first love, and in that moment, it felt like just the two of them existed. Their lips fit together perfectly, like two pieces of a puzzle.
They eventually separated, breathless and smiling at each other, unaware that their intimate moment had been captured by cameras nearby.
As they pulled away, Santiago felt a mix of emotions—regret, nostalgia, and a lingering doubt about his decision. He knew he had to stay strong and focus on fixing things with Isa, but the kiss with Anastasia left him more conflicted than ever.
____"Te amo, mi amor. No puedo dejarte ir," Anastasia pleaded as they stood on the verge of ending their relationship.
"Yo también, Ana, pero es lo mejor para los dos," Santiago replied, his voice heavy with emotion. He grabbed her hand and placed a gentle kiss on it, trying to mask the turmoil within him.
Anastasia smiled, though it didn't reach her eyes. They said their goodbyes and parted ways. Santiago's guilt grew exponentially. His only chance to prove to Isa that he would change, and he had messed it up. He wanted to run away and never hear from anyone or anything anymore, but he knew he had to be mature and face his consequences.
Desperate for a distraction, Santiago opened Twitter. What he saw destroyed him even more. "#Santana" was trending at the top. Curiosity and dread mixed as he clicked on it. His heart sank as he scrolled through the posts. The title "¿Futbolista Santiago Giménez engañando a la Doctora Isabella?" caught his eye. Attached to it was a picture of him and Anastasia kissing in the cafeteria.
He felt his world collapse. How did he forget that the workers and customers there knew he was dating Isabella? Now things were really bad. He hoped no one he knew would see these pictures, but deep down, he knew that was a futile hope.
Santiago's phone buzzed with notifications, but he didn't have the courage to check them. He knew it was only a matter of time before the news reached Isa, Edson, and his teammates. The damage was done, and he had no idea how to fix it. His mind raced with fear and regret as he realized the gravity of his actions.
Sitting in his car, Santiago felt the weight of his mistakes crushing down on him. He had to face Isa, and he had to explain. But how could he possibly make things right after this? The future seemed bleak and uncertain, and Santiago felt more lost than ever.
Hiii everyone, this is one of the two chapters I'll be posting today. What do y'all think of Santiago and Anastasia? Do y'all think Edson will see the shocking news online or someone will tell him? Thanks for all of y'all's support. Luv y'all lots💗
