It was around 2 am, and Isa couldn't sleep. The thoughts of Gerardo's words kept her awake. She turned slightly to look at Santi, who was peacefully sleeping by her side. She sighed softly, careful not to wake him.

"¿Será que Gerardo hablaba en serio o sólo estaba bromeando?" she wondered, her mind racing. She replayed his bold flirts in her head, trying to decipher the true meaning behind them.

"No quiero lastimarlo... siempre hemos tenido una buena relación desde que empezamos a hablar." Isa thought to herself, feeling a pang of guilt. She had always cherished her friendship with Gerardo, and the idea of hurting him or losing him as a friend was almost unbearable.

"¿Y si realmente siente algo por mí? ¿Qué hago entonces? No quiero que nuestra amistad se arruine." She bit her lip, feeling conflicted. She had noticed how Gerardo's mood would shift whenever Luis or Chucky flirted with her or touched her, and it made her uneasy.

"Tengo que ser honesta con él, pero ¿cómo?" Isa whispered to herself, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on her. She knew she needed to address this with Gerardo, but she was scared of the potential fallout.

She glanced back at Santi, who was still sound asleep, his arm draped protectively over her. She felt a surge of love for him but couldn't shake the worry gnawing at her heart.

"Te amo, Santi, pero no quiero perder a Gerardo como amigo." Isa thought, closing her eyes in an attempt to calm her racing thoughts. She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself.

Seeking comfort in Santi's warmth, Isa continued to wrestle with her thoughts in the quiet of the night, hoping that clarity would come with the morning light.

Many minutes passed and Isa couldn't sleep at all. She stood up carefully and walked to the kitchen. She filled herself a cup of water and sat in the tall kitchen island chairs. She admired the moon and remembered the day when Santi confessed his feelings to her and their first kiss. The memory brought a small smile to her lips, momentarily easing her worries.

As she sat there, lost in thought, she heard her phone ding in her room. She got up and went to check it, seeing a notification from Instagram. Once she got back to the kitchen, she checked her phone and saw:

"gerardoarteaga7 liked your post"

Curious, she clicked on the notification and saw it was a picture of her and Edson at the beach. The photo was from months ago, and she wondered why Gerardo had suddenly liked it. Her thoughts started to race, making things even more difficult to understand.

Was he thinking about her, or was it just a random like? She sighed, feeling a mixture of confusion and curiosity. Sitting back down, she took another sip of water and gazed at the moon again, lost in her thoughts.

Isa sat in the quiet kitchen, the moonlight casting a gentle glow on her surroundings. The memory of Gerardo's words and his sudden Instagram like swirled in her mind, making it hard to find peace. She felt a mix of emotions—curiosity, confusion, and a bit of apprehension about what it all meant.

She decided to clear her mind and scrolled through her phone, looking at old photos and messages. As she did, she stumbled upon a picture of the group from a recent outing. Everyone looked so happy, including Gerardo, who had his arm around her shoulder, both of them laughing at something Kevin had said. She smiled at the memory, realizing how much these friendships meant to her.

The kitchen was silent, save for the soft hum of the refrigerator. Isa finished her water and put the glass down, taking a deep breath. She knew she needed to sort out her feelings, but she also didn't want to jump to conclusions.

Just then, she felt a presence behind her and turned to see Santi standing in the doorway, his hair tousled and eyes sleepy. "¿No puedes dormir?" he asked softly.

Isa shook her head. "No, no puedo. Solo estaba pensando."

Santi walked over and wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on her shoulder. "¿En qué estás pensando?"

Isa leaned into his embrace, feeling a sense of comfort. "En muchas cosas. En nosotros, en mis amigos... en todo."

Santi kissed her temple gently. "Lo que sea que esté pasando por tu mente, lo enfrentaremos juntos. ¿De acuerdo?"  (Why do you have to lie, Santi?)

Isa nodded, feeling a bit more at ease. "De acuerdo."

They stood there for a moment, wrapped in each other's arms, before deciding to head back to bed. Isa knew that whatever happened, she had Santi by her side, and that gave her the strength to face whatever uncertainties lay ahead.
