~ The Promised Encounter ~
"IT'S NOT OVER YET! STAND UP AND HELP THE INJURED!!!"
"HURRY, GO AROUND AND GIVE AID. DON'T CRY, MORON!!! KEEP IT TOGETHER!"
"Leave me," says Gyomei. "Don't use your medicine."
"H-Himejima-san!"
"It's too late for me. You'll end up wasting your valuable medicine," he said lowly. "Now go to the other young ones."
"But--"
"Please...It's my final wish."
The Kakushi and the hunters present watched how Gyomei slowly losses his life and all cried about the sacrifice that has been worth giving. "Himejima-san..."
She opened her eyes after feeling a scaly skin touching her face. "Ah... Kabarumaru-kun... Iguro-san... we won?"
Obanai smiled. "Yeah, we won. Muzan's dead."
"That's...g-good," she said before closing her eyes again. "My body doesn't hurt at all...it looks like I'll die very soon..."
"I'm probably going to die soon too. You're not alone."
Mitsuri teared up. "I don't want you to die, Iguro-san... I'm sorry for not being much of use."
"That's not true. I'm begging you, don't talk like that," he pleaded. "Do you remember the day we first met?"
"Yeah..." She agreed. "I was lost in Oyakata-sama's home...and you helped me."
"No...it was the opposite," he said. "When I met you that day, you were a very normal girl...so you actually saved me... You got excited over small things, and your smile was as clear as the day. You must have gone through hellish training before you became a pillar, yet you didn't radiate any of that in the slightest... I had a lot of fun talking with you. It felt like I was a normal young man, and that made me happy. I'm sure the others felt the same way...
...The kindness in you was infinite, so you've healed many people's hearts. Hold your head high... I won't let anyone complain about you."
Mitsuri started bailing. "I'm so happy!!! I...really love you, Iguro-san!" She said. "The meals you made were the most delicious ones I ever had. And you always looked at me with those really sweet eyes of yours."
"Iguro-san, Iguro-san... Please," she pleaded. "If we ever get reborn, if we're born again as human beings... will you make me your wife?"
"Of course!" He said and embraced her tighter. "If you say you're fine with someone like me, then I will be definitely make you happy! And next time, I will not let you die. I will protect you for sure!"
She was there. She was kneeling on the ground and couldn't stand. Kakushi are surrounding her, trying to give her medicine, but she refused. "It's no use... I beg you, stop," she whispered. "I couldn't feel anything anymore... I'm too tired." F/N then chuckled. "I won't make it later."
"Please, don't say that! Everyone's waiting for you at home!"
"No. Listen to me," she said while tugging on the kakishi's sleeve. "The medicine is no use... I'm already dying... just call Giyuu for me, is that alright?"
