"I. DID. NOT. GET. MY. GOLDEN. CORE. MENDED".
Jiang Cheng repeated.
"Jiang Xiong, What are you even saying?" Huisang asked, "Is it that you didn't see her? Because see can see you were blindfolded"
"What I said is true", Jiang Cheng was now just repeating his words. "I did not meet Baoshan SanaRen and she did not mend my golden core"
"Then you are saying that you just miraculously regrew your core? ", with the things happening now, Jin Ling didn't even realise that it came out sarcastic.
"Yes", he answered and it was Wei WuXian who was panicking now. "Jiang Cheng .......... Enough", in a barely audible voice, Wei WuXian muttered. Did those words reach Jiang Cheng? He was not sure.
"Why?", Jiang Cheng questioned. With his voice dripping with disrepute WuXian felt a pang in his heart. "Jiang Cheng is blaming himself"
Jiang Cheng was still throwing out his guilt, "why? I thought we were here to solve the riddles?"
"Watching the tragic past, I think your uncle literally lost his sanity", SiZhui whispered only to earn a glare from Jin Ling.
"That's not what I.."
"WOAHHHHHHHHHHH THAT WAS FUN, WASN'T IT?", before Wei WuXian could convince his Shidi, the same voice rang again and the cave fell into a sudden silence.
"HUHH !!! WHY ARE YOU ALL NOT TALKING ANYMORE? DON'T YOU WANT TO GET OUT OF THIS PLACE?"
"Get out of here? ", Now Wei WuXian screamed. "Are you even planning to let us out?"
"WEI WUXIAN"
The temperature inside the cave dropped drastically, freezing their bones.
"DO YOU THINK OUT OF ALL YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO QUESTION ME?"
"Then who else? ", Wei WuXian asked. After Jiang Cheng almost exposed everything, all Wei Wuxian wanted now was to go back. To bring his sister back, he could find another way. At Least he knows her soul is still in his reach.
"YOU REALLY THINK I WOULD MAKE IT THAT EASY?"
This person could read minds?
"OF COURSE.. IF I CAN GATHER YOU HERE AND DISPLAY YOUR PAST THEN WOULD IT BE THAT DIFFICULT TO READ YOUR MINDS?"
"Please... please let us go......", knowing what was coming up, Wei WuXian pleaded. "I don't want to watch anymore"
"No", Jiang Cheng interrupted the plea. "Show everything", he was saying, "he won't tell us But I WANT TO KNOW"
The town that they had agreed to meet in was built amid the mountains. It was rather remote. There weren't many people inside. The roads were both thin and bumpy. There weren't even any street vendors on the side.
Much to Wei WuXian's disapproval, the screen flashed a bright light and the show was resumed.
"Why does Uncle Wei not want to watch? ", Jin Ling poked his uncle. "Because his secret stories are going to be out", Jiang Cheng scoffed
"Don't look at me like that", He warned, picking up Lan WangJi staring at him. "Whatever happened was his decision. If I knew I wouldn't have let his stupid thoughts run wild"
Wei WuXian was squatting on the side of the road. He glanced at the direction of the mountain. There was still no sight of Jiang Cheng. Hands on his knees, he stood up before feeling his head spin. Wobbling for a few moments, he walked toward the only teahouse in the town.
