It was already midnight when Jiang Cheng reached Yunmeng. He left Jin Ling in Jin TaoPeng's care and rushed to Lotus Pier. Both of them had tasks which needed to be completed with utmost haste and secrecy. The time that lady gave them was before the full moon which is in two days. Yiling was still comparatively closer to Yunmeng but from Lanling Jin, the trip to the burial mound usually takes a day.

That was why Jin Ling left hurriedly. He had to recite the entire happenings to his grandmother before collecting her blood and flesh. This all seems like a fantasy but as his uncle once said, 'flying on swords was also just a fantasy once'.

One thing he needed to make sure that this news doesn't get out until they leave for the burial mound. That was something they decided unanimously while they were in Cloud Recess.

So as soon as he reached Koi Tower, he rushed to his grandmother's chamber, where Madam Jin was walking restlessly. The moment her eyes spotted grandson she rushed to him. Her steps are halting as she watches him placing a silencing talisman on the door and windows.

"A-Ling", her voice was shaking as she checked him for any injury. "What happened there? TaoPeng send a message saying you went missing"

Jin Ling hugged her tight and this reaction surprised her. Though he was a crybaby, the boy was very proud and hated showing affection. Jin Ling's body shivered as the guilt and sorrow finally started flowing down from his eyes.

"zǔ mǔ", Jin Ling cried. "Uncle Wei is gone"

Madam Jin didn't understand how to decipher these words. Gone? What did he mean by gone? Madam Jin tried to push this clingy baby a little to watch his face. But Jin Ling was unwilling. He worried if he stayed away he would actually break down in front of his grandmother.

"I have something to tell you"

He didn't stay apart from her until he described each and everything experienced from missing Wei WuXian to reaching back in Cloud Recess. As words spilled from his mouth Madam Jin's face changed from confusion to horror to shock and by the time he finished she was totally out of breath.

"You....", words stuck in her throat, "A-Ling, are saying A-Xuan and A-Li can be back?"

Jin Ling nodded his head vigorously. "They can"

"ohh my.........", she felt her body weakening and Jin Ling guided her towards a chair.

"My kids", she cried her heart out and at the sorrowful wailing Jin Ling feared they might attract an audience.

Irrespective of her friendship with Yu ZiYuan the only characteristic they shared was how authoritative both were always. But unlike Madam Yu, Madam Jin loved her son as well as daughter-in-law and never hesitated to show it.

"I am ready", she suddenly said. "A-Ling takes as much as you need. Even if I die, I don't care if my kids could return"

"zǔ mǔ", Jin Ling movement slowing down as he took out two pots. Madam Jin's eyes were curious and doubtful, "she gave this?"

Jin Ling nodded. "We need to collect our blood, a little bit of flesh and skin". He explained unsheathing Suihua.

Jin Ling held his sword in his right hand and made a cut in the other hand, placing it directly on the mouth of a pot. The blood seeped down filling in the small container and soon it reached the edge. Madam Jin tied the wound with a fresh piece of cloth and by the time Jin Ling also cut down a small piece of flesh and skin around from his abdomen.

Jin Ling's face was not at all surprised when he saw her taking out a small dagger from under her pillow. After the truth was unveiled two years ago, Madam Jin always kept a weapon with her. He gave the other pot to Madam Jin and she skillfully drew a cut on her hand and repeated the instructions.
