Wen Chao and Wen ZhuLiu's corpses couldn't be found within the supervision office. Speculating that they fled toward the direction of Qishan, Jiang Cheng immediately led the people out of the abandoned supervision office and chased after them with their swords. Lan WangJi, however, returned to Gusu first.

"Why did A-die not accompany Sect leader Jiang there?"

"Wanted to check something", Lan WangJi replied

"Check what?", His question got answered as the scene went by

The second day, Lan WangJi had finally caught up to Jiang Cheng. He took out the talisman from last time, "This talisman has been reversed."

Jiang Cheng, "Reversed? What does reversed mean?"

Lan WangJi, "Normal talismans repel evil. This one attracts them."

Jiang Cheng was shocked, "Talismans... could attract evil? I haven't heard of anything like it."

"Aren't Talismans used to protect us ?", JingYi asked his elders

"Of course they are", Lan XiChen said to the young disciple. "But what you need to understand is, Everything can be used for or against a good cause. It depends on how it is handled"

"Then Why were we never introduced to those types of Talismans?"

"Because not many people can create them"

Lan WangJi, "It is indeed unheard of. But, according to the testing, it does prove to have the ability to attract evil."

"So was that the first time you were seeing these Talismans?", Jin Ling asked his uncle.

"Yes, I didn't even heard about such a thing before I got one in my hand"

"Ohh so that explains why that Wang woman died brutally even though she had Talismans around her. She basically stuck the Evil attracting Talismans on her body", HuiSang said laughing at the misfortune of that woman.

"Just Imagine, if this is happening now", JingYi was saying amusedly, "everybody would be pointing their fingers at Senior Wei"

"Yes even now only he can do this"

"Hey you can't say that", Wei WuXian disturbed their little discussion. "I'm not the only one uses them"

"But aren't you the one behind almost all evil catching devices ? Like the Phantom attraction flag and compass of Evil", SiZhui attested.

Meanwhile Lan WangJi and Jiang Cheng who were the direct witnesses of one of his most horrendous attacks, didn't even understand why Wei WuXian was fighting with the kids now. He IS the one behind those Talismans. They peeked a look at each other before shaking their heads.

Jiang Cheng took over the talisman and examined it closely, "Only a few brushstrokes were added, and the entire function of the talisman was reversed? Was this a human deed?"

Lan WangJi, "Four brushstrokes were added. It was drawn using human blood. All of the residential talismans in the supervision office have been altered. The strokes were those of the same person."

Jiang Cheng, "Then who could this person possibly be? Amongst all of the renowned cultivators, I haven't heard of any who can do such a thing".

Immediately after, he continued, "But no matter who they are, it's fine as long as their objective is the same as ours—to kill all of the Wen-dogs!"
