This is a very very very short chapter, I'm dropping this here because I don't want to keep you out of the loop for long.

Thank you for the 100K reads....💝

Jiang Cheng couldn't sit straight. He couldn't walk either. He didn't understand what to do and that is when Nie HuiSang's words started ringing in his head again.

"Your sister was not an abandoned corpse. She was the young madam of the Lanling Jin sect, the mother of their future sect leader and sister of Yunmeng Jiang sect leader"

"Er-ge my point is only abandoned corpses wander around the living world. The ones who got the proper final funeral rituals would never"

Abandoned corpse...

The one who didn't get proper rituals...

Could it be that...?

Jiang Cheng jolted at the sudden realisation.

"Jiang Cheng"

"...Jiang Cheng"

Wei WuXian's voice resonated in an attempt to drag him out of the haze Jiang Cheng was in. With a sudden jolt Jiang Cheng's eyes turned to the side where his name was being called continuously.

"What?", his mind still dancing around the riddle they are trying to solve now.

"I wouldn't know since I was not present that time", Wei WuXian said, this time paying more attention to the visage flashing on his face. "So was there something missed or omitted during that ritual? Can you remember something?"

Missed?

Omitted?

Jiang Cheng didn't have to think twice to gather the answer but somehow he knew he didn't have enough guts to say it out loud.

"So... There was something ", reading the silence Wei WuXian said again, this time more sure of the answer. And Jiang Cheng's dragging quietness was the confirmation he seeked.

"Then it is easy now", Lan XiChen walked to Jiang Cheng. "As soon as we complete them, young madam Jin can go to the netherworld peacefully"

Now it was definitely the time for Jiang Cheng to speak.

"I... it is.... not that easy", he muttered in the lowest possible voice.

"Why?" Jin Ling squinted his eyes. "Why is it not easy?"

"Sect leader Jiang", watching how things were going in a new direction which is totally unexpected, Lan QiRen couldn't sit still. "I don't think now is the right time to keep your silence", he said looking at the miserable man. "You should speak now. You are the only one who could contribute to anything regarding young madam Jin's farewell"

"INDEED"

In a rapid motion, their heads turned abruptly and there she stood.

"WELL SAID LAN QIREN. SECT LEADER JIANG IS THE ONLY PERSON WHO COULD SOLVE THIS MYSTERY NOW"

Not just the voice but the whole person. Just like Wen Ning described to Wei WuXian, she stood there right in front of them.

Her bright skin was glowing even in the darkness of the cave. The eyes, sharp enough to pierce through rock, were as lush and green as the thick forest. Long silver hair flowing through her passing the shoulders covering her hips.

💕

The last day I posted a message on my board regarding my grandmother was also the day we lost her forever. She was a very caring and genuine soul and I hope she will be able to rest in peace now because her life was not at all a walk on the flower bed.

We are still in the mourning period and I was particularly attached to her. In the past, Every time I write, she would watch me from her bed and ask questions about what I am writing. So now when I am writing, I can feel her presence in this room. I know I am being delusional but believe me mere thoughts like this have a magical power to calm your mind.

I will try to upload more chapters and complete this story as soon as possible.
