The only one who decided he was going to approach Allison and start an actual conversation was Luther. The rest of us just spreaded out once again, not wanting to stare and make things more awkward than they already were. Five joined me at the snack table.

_"Wasn't expecting her to show up."-He said, grabbing another beer to drink. I hummed as a response.

_"Me neither. But are we even still mad at her?"-I genuinely didn't think any of us had any hard feelings for her, from what I remembered. At the end, it was clarified that she didn't mean to hurt any of us back at the whole "deal with dad" thing.

_"I don't think so, but she probably thinks we are. She avoids us all like a disease."-It did seem like that, as Five had said.

_"On that topic, where's Viktor? I was expecting him to be late but they're about to break the piñata. Is he not coming?"

_"Luther said he confirmed, but I'm not sure either."-Five shrugged. It was a bit weird to me. Yeah, Viktor was a busy man, but he was also a great uncle, he wouldn't miss Grace's party willingly. It made me worry.

Five seemed to have noticed the expression of concern I had on my face and caressed my arm, lovingly. I took my eyes off of the snacks.

_"He's fine, he probably got stuck in traffic. Come on, the kids are lining up."-The boy signaled with his head to the center of the room, where Grace and her little friend were lining up to hit the piñata. We both approached the scene, watching Diego starting to spin the girl.

_"One, two, three...four, five, six. Now go!"-He encouraged his daughter, and Grace immediately starting hitting it with her decorated bat. Everyone cheered, and she did seem to be hitting pretty hard, but it didn't do much damage.

_"Harder!"

_"A little more. All right."-Both Diego and Five motivated her. She didn't manage to break the thing, so Diego decided to stop her before she injured herself.

_"All right. That's enough. Good job, good job."

_"Good effort."

_"Good job."-Even Ben, who was by our side, congratulated her. Grace left the line, and I called her to join me with my hands. The sweet kid came running and embraced me in a hug, me hugging back and keeping my hands on her shoulders as we watched the next kid in line start their attempt.

Again, the piñata remained intact. I was starting to question how resistant could cardboard really be, when Luther, for some reason, invaded the scene, delicately pushed the kid aside and grabbed the piñata by its "neck".

_"Out of the way, kid. I'll hit you, son of a bitch."-...I don't think that was appropriate to say at a kid's birthday party. Or do.

Luther started to punch and kick the piñata multiple times and in different ways, a bit more exaggerated than he should. Everyone just watched it all in shock, some gasps here and there. The only thing going through my mind was how cringe-worthy that was, and how it was definitely not ending well.

Although he was also giving his best, the piñata was not making it easy for him. His last attempt was biting onto the paper and ripping away a piece of cardboard with his mouth. That was way too gory even if it was just candy falling out of the hole. The children started screaming with that.

Luther turned around all of a sudden to throw the piñata up, but at the same time he did that, Diego and Lila were walking towards all of us with the birthday cake in their hands, starting to sing the birthday tune. In a terrible miscalculation, the piñata hit the bottom of the cake, making it fly up instead, and depressingly fall onto the floor, completely ruining it.
