We were about to arrive at the building Ben apparently was, and we could already see the hundreds of armed Keepers by the entrance. We couldn't just walk there and ask to get in, we'd certainly end up with bullets to our heads. It was better if we laid low and didn't get too close with the van.

_"Well, that doesn't look good."-Luther said, looking at the protesters.

_"Hey. Quick, back down that alley so we're out of sight."-Allison told Diego who was driving, tapping him on the shoulder as she was in the seat directly behind him.

Diego looked behind so he could back up as she said, but instead of going back, he went forward. We immediately started to panic. The van was already dangerously close to the Keepers.

_"Diego!"

_"Back up, you idiot!"-Five looked frantically at the armed people, also afraid we would get noticed. I looked at the ignition to see that Diego was actually trying to back up. But the car wouldn't obey.

_"Oh, fuck."-I muttered, cold sweat already appearing on my forehead.

_"I'm trying!"-Diego said, confused about what was happening. He tried other methods to stop the van, but it just made a loud noise, coming from beneath the vehicle. Yeah, something was definitely broken.

_"What?"-Luther, who was the furthest in the back, couldn't tell what was going on.

_"Come on, you piece of shit."-Diego muttered to the van, punching the radio and making that God awful song play again. Not that it would do much. I looked out the window to see we were starting to get noticed.

_"What are you doing?!"-Klaus joined in on the panic. At that point, I was thinking we should just jump out of the car.

_"Hit the brakes!"-Lila, who was on the passenger's seat, screamed at her husband.

_"I'm trying! It's not working!"-Diego said, practically smashing the breaks beneath his feet. It did absolutely nothing.

_"We're gonna die!"-I yelled. Maybe we wouldn't, actually. If things went too badly, we could handle it. We fought a similar amount of people before. Not that I wanted to repeat that, though.

_"Now would be an excellent time for someone to do something!"-Klaus yelled, and I looked at my siblings to think if anyone could actually do anything quick enough to solve the situation.

My thoughts were interrupted by the loud, horrifying harsh sound of metal grating against each other. I looked to the side to see the van scratching against a parked car. I covered my ears with my hands. That sound was awful, made my body itch from the inside in a weird way.

_"Shit!"-Lila yelled before finally pulling hard on gear lever. It stopped, thankfully, but when Diego tried to turn it on again so we could escape, it didn't work. The engine sputtered. The van was dead.

_"Oh."-Luther said, looking to the side. I followed his gaze to see that the Keepers were directly at the side of the car, staring at us in confusion. And then they raised their guns. We could only duck down before bullets started raining at us.

_"Get out!"-I yelled, opening the car door by my side while still trying to avoid the shots. It was difficult to figure out what each one of my siblings were saying. Everyone was yelling at this point.

We all got out of the van, sitting down and using it as a shield from the bullets. But the vehicle wouldn't last long, and we wouldn't either if we didn't think of a better plan fast enough.

_"Hey! I just replaced those!"-Diego said as the windows of his van were completely shattered.

_"You know, maybe you shouldn't have cheaped out on the brakes!"-Five yelled at his brother. I held onto the boy and onto Klaus tightly, feeling bullets piercing through the metal way too close to us.
