When classes ended, most students were in their common rooms when, suddenly, a notice appeared on the Slytherin Common Room bulletin board. The notice informed them that the next day, there would be a career guidance talk, led by Professor McGonagall, starting at 4:00 p.m. These meetings would take place throughout the week for fifth-year students.
The students began discussing which careers to pursue, and, feeling bored, Sasuke decided to go to his room, not wanting to hear more of his classmates' uncertainties.
The next morning, Sasuke got up and headed to breakfast in the Great Hall. Most of the fifth-year students had yet to arrive. Seeing this, Sasuke thought they had probably stayed up all night worrying about which career to pursue and which subjects they needed to at least pass with "Exceeds Expectations" (E) and "Acceptable" (A) grades.
By the time Sasuke finished breakfast, the majority of the fifth-years began arriving, visibly tired and with dark circles under their eyes.
Luna: Sasuke, have you finished your breakfast?
Sasuke: Yes, it looks like you've already decided on a career path.
Luna: Yes, it took some time, but I finally know what I want to study.
Sasuke: That's good to hear. Bye, Luna, I'm off.
Luna: No, come sit at my table. I've always sat at yours, so it's your turn to join me.
Sasuke sighed: Alright.
As Sasuke sat at the Ravenclaw table, everyone stared at him, forgetting everything else around them.
Luna sat across from him, finishing her breakfast, but quickly regretted her decision, as most of the Ravenclaw girls began arguing over who would sit next to the emo boy.
Teresa Baker: I got here first, so I'm sitting next to him.
Sara Fawcett: No, I'm sitting there.
Lisa Turpin: No, I am!
Marietta Edgecombe was trying to quietly sneak into the seat beside Sasuke, but...
Zoey Deutch: Don't even think about it, Marietta.
Rose Hathaway: I'll be the one sitting next to him.
Lisa Turpin: No, I will.
Susan: Good morning, Sasuke. May I sit beside you?
Teresa Baker: Back off, Bones, you're not even in Ravenclaw.
The argument continued, while all the boys watched with hate and jealousy. Most girls from the other three houses shot envious glances, as they couldn't get close enough to fight for a seat beside him. Professor McGonagall, furious at the scene in the Great Hall, was quickly approaching.
At the teachers' table, most of the staff, including the headmaster, were laughing, as nothing like this had ever happened in the history of Hogwarts.
Slughorn: Severus, your student is quite popular among all the girls – he said, gesturing for Snape to look at the admiring glances from the other houses.
Snape: I don't care – he replied, focusing on his meal.
Sasuke thought: How annoying.
He said goodbye to Luna and left. Classes went on as usual, and it was time for the career guidance meetings with Professor McGonagall.
Several students were waiting outside, waiting for their turn to enter her office.
Standing near Sasuke were Zacharias, Ginny, Luna, and Astoria. They were talking about the careers they wanted to pursue after Hogwarts, while Sasuke simply listened.
