The corridors leading to Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout's offices were filled with students evacuating Hogwarts via the Floo Network, which only functioned one-way due to protections set by Professor Dumbledore.

Moments earlier.

The atmosphere was thick with tension. All students were on edge due to the distant explosions, though some already had their wands at the ready, prepared for anything that might come.

Horace Slughorn appeared especially concerned—several minutes had passed, and no ghosts or house-elves had returned with news of the situation.

Suddenly, a ghost drifted through the doors. It was Sir Nicholas. Instantly, all heads turned toward him, eagerly awaiting an update.

Sir Nicholas: The battles have begun. They're taking place at the far edges of the castle, away from the evacuation routes.

Student: Is there an evacuation route?

Sir Nicholas: Yes, there are three routes—through the offices of Professor McGonagall, Professor Sprout, and Professor Snape. These routes are being guarded by house-elves, who, with the help of professors, are escorting students from the common rooms to those offices.

Upon hearing this, students let out sighs of relief.

Sprout: We'll divide into three groups. Hufflepuff and Slytherin, come with me.

Horace Slughorn: Ravenclaw, follow me.

Sybill Trelawney: Gryffindor, this way.

The Gryffindor students followed her with some reluctance but ultimately joined her without further complaint.

Astoria: Luna, come with us.

Luna: No, I'll go with the others.

Daphne: We've waited long enough, and the Great Hall hasn't been attacked.

Astoria: Plus, the evacuation has already started. Now we need to focus on defeating the Death Eaters inside the castle.

Luna: Alright, let's go.

Without the professors or students noticing, the three of them slipped away.

Throughout the castle, many students could be seen running in panic.

Student 1: RUN AND DON'T STOP!

The other four students nodded, while behind them, a Death Eater and a werewolf were in close pursuit.

Death Eater: THERE'S NOWHERE TO RUN. ACCEPT YOUR FATE.

The Death Eater raised his wand and pointed it at a beam above them.

Death Eater: BOMBARDA!

A sudden explosion caused the ceiling to collapse in front of the students, blocking their path.

Death Eater: As I said, accept your fate—to die.

Student 2: LET'S TURN HERE!

The students quickly veered right and continued to run.

Death Eater: BLOCK THEIR PATH.

The werewolf roared and began running on all fours, leaping and landing in front of the students. They stopped abruptly, trapped with the werewolf ahead and the Death Eater approaching from behind.

Death Eater: I'll be generous. Who wants to be the first to die?

His wand glowed with a green light. Paralyzed by fear, the students couldn't respond. They could only see the wand and the werewolf's claws ahead of them.
