Sasuke: Now that Hufflepuff has seven Firebolts on the field, it's safe to say the direction of this game is clear.

In the air, Harry kept repeating to himself, "Don't panic." But as he glanced at his teammates, they were all visibly nervous—Ron even more so.

As the team captain, Harry tried to calm down and set an example.

Harry: Calm down, guys. This doesn't mean anything yet.

Katie: But they have seven Firebolts.

Harry: It's their first time using Firebolts in a match. It'll take time for them to adapt. Let's use that to our advantage and trust in our teamwork.

Madame Hooch: Captains, shake hands.

Herbert Fleet and Harry Potter shake hands.

Creevey: THE GAME BEGINS! HUFFLEPUFF IN POSSESSION OF THE QUAFFLE.

Creevey: APPLEBEE RACES FORWARD; THE GRYFFINDOR PLAYERS CAN'T KEEP UP. THE FIREBOLT IS TOO FAST. HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE GOAL—HE THROWS FOR THE RIGHT HOOP, BUT IT WAS A FAKE. HE TRICKS WEASLEY AND AT THE LAST SECOND SWITCHES TO THE LEFT HOOP, SCORING.

Creevey: 10-0 TO HUFFLEPUFF.

Ron: We can't lose like this, he thought, quickly grabbing the Quaffle and tossing it to Ginny.

Creevey: WEASLEY REACTS QUICKLY TO CATCH THE QUAFFLE, BUT SUDDENLY, SMITH INTERCEPTS THE PASS.

Creevey: SMITH NOW IN POSSESSION, GETS READY TO THROW.

Ron flies toward him to block, but Smith passes it back to Applebee, who catches it and scores.

Creevey: 20-0 TO HUFFLEPUFF.

Harry is being closely marked by the Hufflepuff Seeker, Summerby. Harry knows his only chance to win is by catching the Snitch.

Creevey: PEAKES, COOTE, WATCH OUT!

Harry stops and sees his two Beaters being chased by Hufflepuff's Beaters. Rickett and McManis are right behind them, aiming a Bludger at both. Rickett strikes the Bludger at Peakes.

Harry/Creevey: PEAKES, BEHIND YOU! - They shouted.

Peakes dodges upward, narrowly avoiding the Bludger, but McManis speeds up and hits it back upwards. The Bludger slams into Peakes' stomach, knocking him off his broom. Coote freezes, watching his friend fall.

Creevey: COOTE, LOOK AHEAD!

But it's too late. Rickett takes advantage of the rising Bludger and smashes it at the distracted Coote. Coote looks forward just in time to see the Bludger hit his face, and like Peakes, he crashes to the ground, unconscious.

The Gryffindor crowd groans, while the Hufflepuff supporters erupt in cheers.

Harry: Damn it, I need to find the Snitch, he thought.

Creevey: WHAT A BRUTAL PLAY FROM HUFFLEPUFF'S BEATERS. THEY'VE TAKEN CONTROL OF THE BLUDGER AND TAKEN DOWN GRYFFINDOR'S BEATERS. AND HUFFLEPUFF SCORES AGAIN: 60-0 TO HUFFLEPUFF.

In the Hufflepuff stands:

Sasuke: They've blocked the Seeker.

Draco: What do you mean?

Sasuke: Remember how we blocked Potter three years ago?

Daphne: Look – she pointed to Harry.

Creevey: HE'S SURROUNDED. HARRY POTTER IS BEING BOXED IN BY BOTH BEATERS AND THE SEEKER.

Luna: Why are they doing that? Don't they already have the advantage?

Sasuke: They're smart; they don't underestimate their opponent. Plus, their chances of winning increase with the rival Seeker neutralized.

Astoria: So that's why you said Hufflepuff would win.

Creevey: QUAFFLE UNDER CONTROL BY CADWALLADER OF HUFFLEPUFF. HE FLIES STRAIGHT TOWARD THE GRYFFINDOR GOAL, NO ONE CAN KEEP UP, AND HE SCORES: 70-0 TO HUFFLEPUFF.

The entire Hufflepuff crowd celebrates.

Harry tries to break free but can't, helplessly watching as the score climbs higher. In the Gryffindor stands, students lower their banners, knowing the game is lost.

Creevey: HUFFLEPUFF IN POSSESSION AGAIN. APPLEBEE PASSES TO SMITH. SMITH EASILY DODGES WEASLEY, BELL, AND ROBERT. SMITH PASSES TO CADWALLADER, WHO DODGES WEASLEY AGAIN AND SCORES: 120-0 TO HUFFLEPUFF.

Harry continues to struggle, trying to shake off McManis, Summerby, and Rickett. But with their Firebolts, they can easily keep up with him. The score keeps rising.

Creevey: BELL IN POSSESSION, MOVING TOWARD HUFFLEPUFF'S GOAL, GUARDED BY WEASLEY AND ROBIN.

Creevey: BUT THE HUFFLEPUFF CHASERS AREN'T LEAVING GRYFFINDOR'S GOAL.

Creevey: BELL, WEASLEY, AND ROBIN PUSH THROUGH THE CENTER.

The Gryffindor crowd begins to cheer again.

Creevey: SMITH FLIES TOWARD GRYFFINDOR'S CHASERS AT FULL SPEED. HE'S JUST METERS AWAY.

Ginny: KATIE, KEEP GOING! DEMELZA AND I WILL STOP HIM.

Ginny had planned a collision.

Creevey: WEASLEY AND ROBIN TURN AND FLY STRAIGHT AT SMITH. THEY'RE GOING TO CRASH.

Zacharias: Too obvious.

Zacharias accelerates, weaving past them, reaching Bell, and stealing the Quaffle. The Gryffindor stands fall silent—their last hope dashed.

Zacharias flies toward Gryffindor's goal and scores.

Harry finally breaks free and flies off in search of the Snitch. In the distance, he spots the golden glint and races toward it, managing to grab it.

Harry feels something's wrong, though. No one is applauding. He looks up at the scoreboard and realizes Hufflepuff had already won, which is why they let him escape so easily.

The Hufflepuff crowd erupts into cheers.

Sasuke: There's no point staying here. Congratulations on the win, Susan, he said, standing up.

Sasuke began to leave, followed by Draco, Daphne, Astoria, and Luna.

Susan: Sasuke, come celebrate with us in our common room.

Susan: You're all invited too, she said, glancing at the others.

Luna: Sasuke, let's go—we've never been to the Hufflepuff common room before.

Seeing that Luna and Astoria wanted to go, Sasuke agreed.

The group headed to the Hufflepuff common room, guided by Susan and Hannah. Draco excused himself, citing other commitments.

The celebration was lively, with plenty of food and drinks. But in the end, Sasuke regretted coming. The drinks had been spiked, and though he managed to stop Luna and Astoria from drinking, both Susan and Daphne had already had some.

The party turned chaotic, with Susan and Daphne pulling Sasuke by the arms, each trying to get him to dance with them.

Daphne: LET GO, BONES, SASUKE'S DANCING WITH ME.

Susan: ONLY IN YOUR DREAMS, GREENGRASS. HE'S MINE.

Daphne: NO, HE'S MINE.

Everyone watched the scene, laughing and encouraging them to continue.

Sasuke: I could easily knock them both out, but there are too many witnesses. I can't do that... he thought.
