Flitwick: AS YOU CAN SEE, WE'VE REACHED THE SEMIFINALS OF THE BASIC LEVEL TOURNAMENT. I CONGRATULATE ALL PARTICIPANTS AND ASK FOR A ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR THEM.
The applause echoes from the Quidditch stands.
Flitwick: NOW, WE WILL TAKE A TWO-HOUR BREAK. THOSE WHO HAVE ADVANCED, USE THIS TIME TO STRATEGIZE BASED ON YOUR RIVALS' PERFORMANCE.
Several students leave the stands to wander around the grounds, while others go to congratulate their friends who made it through. On the platform, Dumbledore approaches Professor Flitwick.
Dumbledore: It seems everything is going well.
Flitwick: Yes, but it's thanks to the other professors who are vigilant, ensuring no accidents occur.
Dumbledore: Indeed. I'm looking forward to seeing what surprises the semifinals will bring.
Minerva and Snape join them.
Minerva: I just hope the advanced-level students don't end up with any serious injuries.

Flitwick: REPRESENTING HUFFLEPUFF HOUSE, STEPHEN HART.
Flitwick: REPRESENTING GRYFFINDOR HOUSE, HELEN CUTTER AND RUTH KEARNEY.
Flitwick: REPRESENTING SLYTHERIN HOUSE, ALEXANDER FLINT.
The students from each house cheer for their representatives.

The cannon fires, signaling the start of the duel.

Stephen Hart: PROTEGO!
The spell rebounds, forcing Helen Cutter to dodge or be hit by her own magic. Seizing the moment, Stephen Hart shouts:
Stephen Hart: IMMOBULUS!
Helen Cutter: JINX!
Both spells collide mid-air.
In the stands, many Gryffindors cheer for Helen, along with some Hufflepuffs.
Stephen Hart: PETRIFICUS...
Helen Cutter: IMPEDIMENTA!
The Impedimenta spell makes Stephen Hart cancel his incantation.
Helen Cutter: INCARCEROUS!
Stephen Hart falls to the ground, bound by ropes.
The crowd roars as Helen Cutter claims victory.
