The Next Day, Near the Forbidden Forest

The fifth-year students gathered with their respective magical creatures.

Hagrid: As I mentioned before, today is the day you'll have to say goodbye to them. But don't worry; they'll be well cared for in the places they're going.

The students were visibly saddened by the separation, but also satisfied knowing their creatures would soon be free.

Astoria: Green, I'll miss you. Take care of yourself.

Sasuke: That's why I warned you not to get attached. Besides, he'll be fine at the reserve, surrounded by other Snidgets.

Zacharias and Mady, on the other hand, felt relieved to be rid of the dragon. Initially, taking care of it seemed exciting, but as it grew, handling its temperament without getting hurt became more challenging.

Luna and Ginny bid a calm farewell to the owl they raised, knowing it would only be temporary. Besides, Ginny already had two owls at home: Errol, the family owl, and Pig, her brother's. Luna, meanwhile, had her own owl, Apollo.

The owls, selkies, acromantulas, Cornish pixies, hippogriffs, and golden Snidgets were carefully placed in cages, while the selkies were transferred to a large aquarium.

Ministry officials arrived, exchanged a few words with Hagrid, and took all the magical creatures away.

Sasuke noticed that Hagrid, like Astoria, was emotional. He followed Hagrid's gaze and saw the giant watching the dragon with tearful eyes.

Hagrid: With that, class is dismissed.

The students returned to the castle.

In the Slytherin Common Room

The students gathered after classes, though Astoria still seemed down.

Sasuke: I told you not to get attached. You knew he'd have to leave.

Astoria: But Green was so adorable... I hope the other Snidgets don't mistreat him out of jealousy.

Sasuke: He'll be fine. Now he's among his own.

Astoria: Maybe you're right. Now he's where he belongs.

Sasuke: Exactly, among his own.

In Hogsmeade

Hagrid left the castle and went to the Hog's Head Inn.

The place was full of suspicious-looking wizards, many wearing cloaks that hid their faces.

Hagrid approached the counter.

Aberforth Dumbledore: The usual, Hagrid?

Hagrid: No, this time I'll have double.

Aberforth: Rough day?

Hagrid: Yeah, tried to convince the Ministry to let me take care of the dragon, but they refused.

Aberforth sighed with relief; the thought of a dragon in Hogsmeade didn't sit well with him.

Hagrid took his seat, and soon enough, jug after jug of firewhisky arrived at his table.

Hours later, staggering, he left the bar and headed back to the castle.
