Snape had finished reading the book but found no way to extract Voldemort's soul from Harry. Desperate to save Lily's son, he broke down in tears, destroying his office in a fit of helplessness.

The next day:

In his private laboratory, Snape gathered ingredients and materials to brew a potion.

Potion-making was the only activity that helped calm his mind, as it required complete concentration. A single mistake could cause the cauldron to explode, and this constant possibility kept him focused, temporarily pushing aside feelings of frustration, sadness, shame, envy, regret, and hatred.

He manipulated the ingredients with quick, fluid movements, not pausing until the silver steam of the potion turned a vivid blue. Leaving the laboratory, Snape patrolled the school's corridors. Students around him quietly stepped aside, fear evident on their faces as he walked past. During his rounds, he encountered a certain gamekeeper along the way.

Hagrid: Professor Snape, good morning.

Snape: Hagrid, what brings you here?

Hagrid: I just came to deliver my report to Professor Dumbledore about the magical creatures in the forest.

Snape: I see.

Snape continued on his way, but an idea suddenly struck him.

In the Charms classroom, the Slytherin and Ravenclaw students waited. Professor Flitwick entered, greeting his students but paying special attention to one in particular.

Flitwick: Mr. Uchiha, it's an honor to see you.

Sasuke: What's going on? - he thought.

Flitwick: Mr. Uchiha, I would like to speak with you at the end of the class.

Sasuke nodded, curious to find out what the professor wanted.

Flitwick waved his wand, and the name of a spell appeared on the board.

Flitwick: The spell we will study today is Aguamenti.

Flitwick: Also known as the Water-Making Spell, it conjures a jet of clean, pure water from the tip of the wand. In addition to being an enchantment, Aguamenti can be classified as a conjuration, a more advanced form of Transfiguration. The wand movement is in the shape of an "S."

The students began practicing the incantation.

In Sasuke's mind, he considered the spell weak compared to Suiton, finding it rather useless in combat.

Sasuke was the first to conjure water and fill the cup in front of him.

Flitwick: Excellent, Mr. Uchiha. 5 points for Slytherin.

The class continued, and most students managed to fill their cups, while a few spilled water or dropped their cups.

Luna and Astoria waited for Sasuke outside as he spoke with Flitwick.

Flitwick: Mr. Uchiha, I'm curious about the water spell you used against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Sasuke: What do you want to know?

Flitwick: I'd like to know where you learned it, and if possible, if you could teach me. I know it won't be for free, but I can reward you with recommendations among my acquaintances in high positions, recommend you as head boy, or pay you in gold.

Sasuke simply smiled.

Flitwick thought he had him convinced.

Sasuke: I'm not interested. Besides, the spells I used were created by me, and I made sure that only I can use them. That's all, Professor.
