At the Ministry of Magic, all the employees had gathered for an emergency meeting. As soon as Amelia Bones and Rufus Scrimgeour entered, the murmurs stopped immediately. Amelia approached the podium and took the microphone.

Amelia: I've called you here to discuss what we will do from now on.

All eyes were fixed on the Minister.

Amelia: As you know, in a month, we will face Tom Riddle.

Employee 1: But that was a decision you made.

Employee 2: A month isn't enough time.

Employee 3: He's right, it's too short.

Amelia: As you're all aware, Tom Riddle is gathering his army once more. We cannot allow him more time to regain his full strength. Now is the moment to strike and end this war. In our recent battles with the Death Eaters, we won. Now that we've dismantled their information network within the Ministry, we no longer need to worry about leaks that used to compromise our plans.

Amelia: We've all lost loved ones, friends, because of this murderer, Tom Riddle. This must end. It's time to put a stop to this once and for all.

Amelia: Who's with me?

The employees began to applaud, though some showed signs of fear, clearly frightened by the thought of fighting.

Scrimgeour: I know many of you are willing to fight, but we have carefully selected those who will take part in this war.

The auditorium fell silent as Scrimgeour spoke.

Scrimgeour: What you need to understand is that war is not a game. Everyone will be risking their lives, which is why we've chosen the best-trained and most capable wizards to fight and survive. I won't lie; I don't know if everyone will return alive, but I can assure you of one thing: if we don't fight, there won't be a future. If Tom Riddle wins, the only fate awaiting us is death. Think about who and what you're fighting for. Those selected must report tomorrow at 9:00.

Amelia: That's all. You may leave. The selected may leave earlier.

Amelia Bones and Rufus Scrimgeour left the auditorium, leaving the employees in complete silence. But as soon as the door closed, murmurs started to rise again.

In the Minister's office, Sasuke and Filch were seated, waiting.

Sasuke: How did it go?

Amelia: I think it went well. Now we just have to wait until tomorrow.

Sasuke: Here's Mr. Filch.

Filch: It's an honor, Minister.

Amelia: Thank you for your cooperation. As Mr. Uchiha explained, we need to start immediately, so sign this one-year contract. It outlines your salary, which is triple what you earned at Hogwarts, and includes the obligation to keep everything completely confidential. You can't tell anyone.

Filch took the contract and read it. Seeing the generous salary, he signed without hesitation.

Filch: What happens now?

Amelia: We're going to Azkaban. Scrimgeour, take Saul Croaker, the head of the Department of Mysteries, to Azkaban. We'll go ahead.

Rufus: Understood.

Rufus left the office. Amelia grabbed a Portkey to Azkaban.

Amelia: Hold onto this bell.

Sasuke and Filch placed their hands on the Portkey, and they vanished.

On an island in the middle of the sea, a towering fortress stood. In the surrounding waters, tridents emerged, belonging to the new guardians of Azkaban: mermaids and mermen.
