Rota Hermione - Part IV

Mount Kholat Syakhl

The mountain had been completely devastated, reduced to rubble. In place of its majestic peak, there now lay an immense crater.

Near the crater were two young people. One was lying down, while the other remained seated.

Sasuke, with his head resting in Hermione's lap, closed his eyes, murmuring to himself, "I'm losing consciousness... It seems the Arrow of Indra drained almost all my chakra. Last time, I used it with the help of the bijuus, but this time it was just my own chakra. I need to train more..."

Seeing Sasuke close his eyes, Hermione became alarmed.

Hermione: Sasuke, what's happening? she asked, worried.

Sasuke fell asleep in her lap, and Hermione calmed down when she noticed he was breathing peacefully.

As he slept, Sasuke reflected on everything that had happened so far.

While hesitating in his thoughts, he recalled his last encounter with Itachi, when he said:

Hermione, watching Sasuke's serene and peaceful face, instinctively began to stroke his hair.

What could he be dreaming about to be so at peace? she wondered. He looks so handsome from here, with that smooth skin and long eyelashes...

Her fingers glided to touch Sasuke's face, and inadvertently, she brushed against his lips.

Despite everything, he's still just a boy... she reflected. His lips are thin but firm.

She quickly withdrew her hand, mentally scolding herself for touching his lips, but when she looked at him again, she felt an urge to do the same. Her hand slowly approached Sasuke's face until it was caught by another hand.

Sasuke: What are you doing? he asked, his eyes now open.

Hermione suddenly sat up, alarmed.

Sasuke: Hey, calm down, he said, soothingly.

Hermione: It's not what you think! I... I wasn't doing anything weird! she stammered, flustered.

Sasuke: Weird? he raised an eyebrow, confused. What are you referring to?

Hermione: It's nothing. Forget it, she replied quickly, feeling her face heat up.

What luck... he didn't notice, she thought, relieved.

Sasuke got up, extending his hand to Hermione.

Sasuke: I've rested enough. Let's get out of here.

Hermione: Yes, but it will be a long walk... she replied, still remembering that Sasuke's falcon hadn't returned after taking Lyudmila.

Sasuke, still holding out his hand, waited.

Hermione, surprised, hesitated.

Sasuke: We'll use Apparition, he explained. Since I destroyed everything around, the anti-Apparition spells must have been nullified.
