The following day, Professor McGonagall was in her office, mentally reviewing everything that had happened with Sasuke Uchiha.
She still couldn't believe that, despite telling Albus what had occurred in the hallway, he refused to see Sasuke as a threat, even going so far as to defend him.
Alastor was also worried about the spell Sasuke had used against them; they hadn't been able to see any movement from his hands or wand. Because of this, the day before, Alastor had combed through the books in the restricted section for information, while Minerva searched through all the magic books in Albus's office, yet found nothing.
Slughorn preferred to ignore what had happened, choosing not to bring up the matter again.
At that moment, the door to her office opened, and Alastor Moody stepped inside.
Moody: Nothing, Minerva. I didn't find anything. And you?
McGonagall: Likewise, I couldn't discover any similar spell.
Moody: The only thing that comes to mind is that he may have created the spell himself.
McGonagall: If that's the case, what do we do now?
Moody: We need to keep pressing Albus and convince as many wizards as possible about the danger Sasuke Uchiha poses.
Moody left the office, leaving McGonagall deep in thought.

In the Great Hall, everything was draped in black banners, symbolizing mourning.
All the remaining students were seated for breakfast, joined by a few family members. Most of those who stayed behind at Hogwarts were Muggle-born and kept glancing over at the Slytherin table, where Sasuke Uchiha sat alongside Zacharias Smith, Luna Lovegood, and Daphne and Astoria Greengrass.
At the Gryffindor table, Ginny wasn't present; her mother had wanted all her children close, especially after nearly losing them the day before.
Sasuke could feel the eyes on him, but he chose to ignore them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The previous night, he had recounted how his confrontation with Voldemort went, without ever mentioning chakra, the Sharingan, or the Rinnegan, and he had to create a special illusion for them, placing them all in a genjutsu.
In return, the others shared what had happened at the castle, including their personal battles against Death Eaters, Inferi, and werewolves.
Zacharias: Sasuke, we managed to survive thanks to the magical runes engraved on our bodies.
Luna: Yes, thank you so much! I never imagined that my abilities, both magical and physical, would triple.
Astoria: It was incredible how the stored energy coursed through our entire bodies.
Daphne: No, the most incredible moment was when Luna transfigured the ground to create a giant arm and knocked down Professor Hooch's group.
Luna: Let's go!
The others simply smiled at the memory, while some imagined it. Ginny had a somber expression.
Ginny: I'm sorry I was hypnotized.
Luna: Don't worry, Ginny; it wasn't your fault. Besides, Draco saved you.
Ginny: Yes.
Zacharias: But how did Voldemort manage to hypnotize almost the entire school? And why were only some affected?
