All the stands went silent, especially the Gryffindor section. Just as they began cheering for Harry, he was thrown off the platform, falling unconscious.

In the professors' stands, everyone was in shock. However, Amelia Bones and Rufus Scrimgeour were smiling, having anticipated the outcome.

Dumbledore: At what point did he use a speed spell? he wondered.

Moody: What did he do? I didn't see any magical activity.

McGonagall: Your magical eye is supposed to detect any trace of magic.

Snape: He didn't use magic; it's just his speed.

Everyone was so surprised they couldn't believe what Snape was saying.

Slughorn: No one can move that fast.

Snape: Then he's the first to manage it.

In the minds of Snape, Moody, and Dumbledore, it became clear why the Dark Lord, Voldemort, avoided fighting Sasuke Uchiha on the ground; the entire battle took place in the sky because fighting Sasuke on land would have been a disadvantage.

In the Slytherin stands, the students were enthusiastically applauding Sasuke's overwhelming victory.

In the other house stands, everyone was frozen, unable to believe what they had just seen.

Most believed Sasuke had used Apparition, even though he was inside Hogwarts, suggesting that he was unstoppable.

On the platforms, everyone thought the same, except for Luna, Ginny, Draco, Zacharias, Astoria, Daphne, and Hermione, who knew it was just his speed.

Professor Flitwick was uncertain what to do, surprised by the apparent use of Apparition by Sasuke inside the school, despite it being forbidden.

Flitwick glanced toward Dumbledore, who gave a subtle nod, indicating he should proceed.

Flitwick: WINNER: SASUKE UCHIHA.

The entire Slytherin stand resumed applauding Sasuke's victory. On Platform 1, the participants were discussing.

Dean: They made it count.

Seamus: That can't be.

Colin: I'm withdrawing. I don't want to face him.

Several students on Platform 1 with Sasuke approached Professor Flitwick to forfeit. On the other platforms, the duels continued.

Platform 2: Pomona Sprout: Winner, Neville Longbottom.

Platform 3: Aurora Sinistra: Winner, Ron Weasley.

Platform 4: Septima Vector: Winner, Draco Malfoy.

On Platform 1, Professor Flitwick was perplexed by the number of students choosing to forfeit.

Susan Bones approached Professor Flitwick to forfeit as well but hesitated.

Susan: I can't do it. I can't quit; Sasuke despises cowards. But if I don't forfeit, I'll have to face him. If I face him, at least he'll see I'm not a coward, even if I lose. she thought.

Flitwick: Miss Bones, do you wish to say something?

Susan: I'm not forfeiting, Professor.

Flitwick: Finally, a brave one. he thought.
