Prologue VI

On Privet Drive, everything seemed calm. Adults strolled along the sidewalks while children played in their gardens. However, in house number 4, two adults were tense. They knew that Harry Potter was about to return, as it was the end of the school year at his school of magic.

Suddenly, a loud "crack" echoed in the middle of the living room. The Dursleys, no longer surprised but resigned, recognized it as the arrival of someone from the magical world.

Vernon: Boy, I've told you before not to appear in the middle of the room like a lunatic. Use the door!

Sirius: Shut up, Dursley. Sirius drew his wand, making Vernon and Petunia jump.

Sirius: Harry, grab your things.

Harry: Right. he replied as he headed upstairs.

Hours before arriving at Privet Drive, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny were at Hogsmeade station. They were surprised to see who was waiting for them: Ron's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, Tonks, Mad-Eye Moody, and Sirius.

Harry: Sirius.

Sirius: Hey, Harry. Come here, take my hand. We need to go.

Molly: Hello, Harry! How have you been, dear? she asked, pulling him into a hug.

Harry: I'm well, Mrs. Weasley. I'm glad to finally be moving.

Arthur: We're happy for you. Boys, let's go.

Hermione: See you later, Harry, Ron, Ginny. We'll meet again soon. She waved goodbye as she boarded the train.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione had discussed Hermione also going to Grimmauld Place, but she had refused because her parents decided she would spend the holidays with them, and she couldn't disobey.

Sirius: Tonks, please take Harry's things to the headquarters.

Tonks: Sure thing.

Harry and Sirius vanished from Hogsmeade station.

Sirius: As you know, Petunia, Dumbledore's letter stated that Harry was to remain in this house until he turned 17. That's just a few months away, and then I'll take him away from this house where he suffered abuse from you.

Sirius pointed his wand at them.

Vernon: Do you think I wanted this? All the trouble surrounding him only causes problems. It's about time someone took him back to his own kind. he said, regaining some courage.

Sirius: You're right. Harry should be with his own, not with a bunch of Muggle troglodytes. And believe me, I'm controlling myself at Dumbledore's request because otherwise, I would have crushed you by now.

Petunia: Either way, just get out. I want nothing more to do with you or this world of freaks.

On the second floor, Harry quickly packed his belongings when Dudley appeared at the door.

Dudley: Where are you going?

Harry: Isn't it obvious?

Dudley felt a bit embarrassed.

Dudley: I never thanked you for saving me from those things that absorb happiness.

Harry was surprised. Dudley was thanking him for the first time in his life.
