100. THEIR MOMS NOT COMING BACK

Chapter one hundred

"Their moms not coming back."

Having headed to one of Alpha's borders, Negan put Alpha's head on a spike "so, what do we do now?" Judith spoke up, as Negan turned looking at them all, he could tell they were still shaken by the news of their mom not coming back and knowing what happened to Carl when he was left on his own, he wasn't gonna leave them alone "we're gonna get moving. Before the big guy comes." he shared, walking toward's them, the kids turned around, as they all began walking off.

They soon made it to an abandoned building, as Negan turned to them "wait here." he said, as the four of them stopped, Negan turned around and walked onto the porch, opening the door "hey, kiddo. Sorry about.." he was saying, as he walked in "shit." he said, as growling could be heard, dog jumped on him, tackling him to the ground, Daryl stepped forward aiming his crossbow at him "where's Alpha?" he asked "look, whatever Lydia told you.." Negan was saying "where is she? Where'd she take my kids?" Daryl asked.

"She is dead. She is dead. I killed her." Negan told him "you liar." Daryl told him "I am not lying. If you look outside those four kids are standing there unharmed. The whole reason I threw in with them was so I could get close enough to Alpha to slit her throat. Now you talk about, silencing the whisperers. I silence the Alpha. Why the hell else would their mother let me out of my cell?" Negan asked "go." Daryl told dog, as dog got off Negan, he turned heading out the door, seeing the Grimes children, he barked "told ya." Negan told him, as Daryl turned around, grabbing the rope off the chair, he walked back over to Negan.

Having tied his hands behind his back, the kids and dog were up ahead, as Negan and Daryl walked behind them "well this whole follow the leader routine, is kind of deja vu for me. It's the same way it went down with Alpha." Negan shared, as Daryl looked at the kids "you know I get it. All right, your pissed that Scarlett didn't let you in on the plan." Negan shared "nobody asked you." Daryl told him "yeah, except I'm the only other person other then those kids who knows she's not coming back." Negan shared, as Daryl furrowed his brows "what the hell you talking about?" he asked "where she went, she found something that belonged to Rick. Made her believe he was alive. So she's going after him. Even if it kills her." Negan shared, as they continued to walk in silence.

It was dark out by the time they made it back to Alpha's border where they had left her head, but as they walked up to it, it wasn't there anymore "it's gone." Judith said "the boogeyman." Rick said, stepping toward's her, Judith put her arm around him, as Daryl and Caroline brought out their guns, turning around and looking around them "hey, hey, easy." Negan told them, as thunder rumbled in the distance, Daryl aimed his crossbow at him "would you tell them.." Negan was saying, as he turned around, coming face to face with Daryl's crossbow "oh, come on, man. We're talking about Lydia here. Why would I stash her out in banjo country unless the whole point was to keep her safe? Unless the whole frickin point was to use her as bait so I could get Alpha alone?" he asked.

"Or maybe the whole things a trap, pretending to look after these kids, telling me that this was Scarlett's plan, that she ain't coming back." Daryl told him "it's the truth! I promised her I would kill her and I did. When I saw these kids alone in the woods, I knew they needed someone to look out for them before they ended up like their brother and I happened to be there when she called. And you are just pissed because it wasn't you." Negan shared, as a gun cocked, he looked to his right seeing the whisperer aiming a shot gun at Daryl.

The two others stepped toward's the kids, in which Daryl and Caroline put their guns down, Daryl brought down his crossbow and dropped it, all of them held their hands up "Alpha's dead. Because of you." the one with the shotgun said, looking to the other two "we kneel to the new Alpha." he told them, as the two kneeled, Negan laughed.

It soon had started raining, as the whisperers untied Negan and tied Daryl's hands together, they then forced the kids to stand next to him with their hands up, as they stood on either side of them, the one with the shotgun kept it aimed at them, dog was growling at Negan who pulled out Alpha's mask "it really was a trap." he said, turning around "first order of business." he said, as thunder boomed, he turned back to them "wait, wait, wait, one damn minute. I'm supposed to be the Alpha, right? I mean, the only reason I'm asking is I'm a little bit confused. If I'm the Alpha, why is someone who is most definitely not the Alpha holding the badass shotgun?" he asked.

As the whisperer holding it looked to him and then to the gun, he walked over and handed it to him, before walking back "see, that is what I'm talking about. That feels good. Right? I mean, I never had a kid of my own, but if I did, I would imagine this is what it's like holding your baby for the very first time, except for it turns out, my baby can kill people by spitting bullets at em." Negan shared, as thunder rumbled, he motioned to them "kneel to the Alpha." he told them, Rick, Judith, Caroline and both Daryl's did so.

"Damn. It is starting to get real now, ain't it?" Negan asked, walking toward's them, he bent down and picking up Daryl's gun, he tossed it to him and as Daryl caught it, Negan turned shooting the whisperer that had given him the gun, Daryl kicked the whisperer to their left down, as the whisperer to their right grabbed Rick holding the knife against his neck, Judith and Caroline stood up, holding onto each other, Daryl held his gun at him "let him go." he told him, as the whisperer to their left punched Daryl in the face.

"I'll kill him..I'll do.." the whisperer was saying, as Daryl shot him, Judith and Caroline ran toward's Rick, pulling him into their arms, the other whisperer ran up behind Daryl but as he did, dog tackled him to the ground, biting him in the neck, killing him.

By morning, they were walking back to Alexandria, as dog and the kids were ahead, Negan and Daryl walked behind them "not to spin a broken record, but their mom's not coming back." Negan shared, as Daryl sighed "I know." he said, as they continued walking.
